I got what sounded like they wanted to be Jamaican....with an Indian accent, couldnt even pronounce my name correctly, so i said "you must have the wrong number" she/he (who knows) started to say "but" and I went CLICK!

I followed up on the 800-558-0064 and it is the Grant Consultant company at GrantConsultant.com. Most of what everyone has stated is true. In fact I his accent was too strong for me to understand so I asked f the phone number and called back. I talked with someone who talked clear english and they informed me it was a service that provides whatever grant information is on their website and helps them through the application process. They require $3.87 for the first 10day trial of their services and then start charging $59.99 per month automatically afterwards. You have to call to cancel to avoid being charged according to the representative. As good as it sounded I still did not sign up for the service because I have tried this with more recognizable companies like Netflix and good luck getting someone to cancel your membership before the first big charge hits your card.

After the third call, i picked up and they wanted to give me grant money BUT i would have to about $3.00 to get set up. GOOD TRY Frances Johnson LOL

I keep getting calls from this Indian man I knew it was a scam thank goodness for this site!!

Keeps calling my cell phone.  Hate it when its someone that won't STOP calling; ...and no, your name is NOT John...probably more like Muadweeb Buthead!  Stop Calling!

.Not sure how he got this number, my job is funded by HUD/Gov. so I told him I'm not interested in his offer; however I would give his name and number to the HUD office in Washington.

7 calls from this number today. No talking, no responding, called again as I wrote this, certainly tracking me through the web too... feel free to check it out.

I called them back & told them Im on a do not call list and if they called again I would report them She <mid eastern lady> took my # and said I wouldnt be bothered again I said I hope not & hung up Will keep u updated if it worked :)

My message is the same as many of the previous ones and I asked him for his number and extension so I could call back to see if the number was legit. The guy told me his name was Jason Cooper and when I called the number back the guy who answered said his name was Tom but the voice was exactly the same. I asked for the extension number "Jason" gave me and "Tom" said he could probably help me. At that point I just said I'm not interested and hung up but I'm surprised this same number can operate for so long without getting traced back to the owner. How is it still operating?

They were having fun on here till you called their bluff!!  I replied 'cause I thought it was funny. Their replies to me stopped when I told them I do not do business online!! Guess they thought they had "a live one" with me!! NOT!!!!

Calling about grant money, to pay him and than he called me a B**** im pretty sure in his lil accent cause i wouldnt give my card #, what a dumb A** ?

Man with a heavy Indian accent, called about me requesting a grant. He said I would not have to pay for obtaining the grant. However, when I asked him if I could call the Better Business Bureau and inquire about his legatimacy of his company, he informed No, we have been in business for over 8 years and that, they had never had a problem. He was repetative with his speech, and then requested $3.85 for their assistance. I told him it was not going to happen. I then told him I was not interested and to have a Blessed day! As I was hanging up the man continued to talk. Sometime shortly after, another Man with an Indian accent called, by this time, I was really angry, because they had called twice in between the 1st call. I not interested and will continue to report the number until they stop calling my number.

I believe they got my information from a website I accidently came upon, I filled out an application for apartments for individuals based on their income. The apartments are suppose to be Federally subsidized, the govt. need to prosecute such individuals. Please do not give your information to these people! This apparently is fraud, con artist!

Received a call from this number, heavy accent, stating  the USA government and private foundations had free grant money for only  $3.87.  All they needed was my CC number and the 3 digit authorization code.  I asked him if they were legit as I was laughing at the scam.  Of course, he said yes and all they needed was my information.  I told him I was not THAT STUPID and I was reporting him; he hung up.  
Also received a call preceding this call from a company  called Career Institute, who found online colleges for students.  They also spoke of another company called Next Student, that could reduce student loan debt.  I am in the process of researching both companies.

Broken english person on the other end stating he was a calling about a grant our business had applied for online and needed more info in regards to it.  After I informed him that he was actually calling a government entity, he didn't understand and started the speech over as if I was new person on the line.  After telling him several times that he was calling a government business, he finally realized what I was saying.  I then asked him where I could reach him back to assist him with the info, he hung up.

I then tried to call the number back and it says that the number is no longer in service.

I got this call and it stated I was in riverside ca not cool how and whyis no one looking into this matter.

These are scammers, trying to get you to pay for FREE government grants.. b*****ds

I filled out a form on the internet for grant money and got a call back from a guy with a heavy accent. He said his name was Ricky Williams. I asked him if he was in California and he said yes. He wanted to charge me a small fee ($3.87) for grant applications. I'm glad I found this site because I'm not doing it.  Anyone get caught with this?

Was looking into grants for our company, Came across an ad saying US Grants.  STARTED to put in a small amount of basic information, BEFORE I SUBMITTED anything, I received a call from a woman in Lincoln, CA (outside sac area).  Told her I was broke, call back Monday (Today) They keep calling me as well. also calling me from 9162587013.

I keep getting calls from this number, but have no idea what this may be in reference to ... so I don't pick up the phone.  I thought when you had your name on the "No Call List" this isn't supposed to happen ...

This middleeastern guy called me and told me that I filled out for some government grants. I did apply for a grant but it was weeks ago and I did not process it completely. He told me there was a small fee of 3.89. And after I pay it, I would get an email with the forms to fill out. Haaa! I told him I didnt have any money on my prepaid card, "which I don't" and I would have to put some on it. After we got off the phone I came here to research the number. That was crazy. Think if they have done it with over 1000 people.....Wow.....
