Well, all of the sudden a pretty and sexy  young blond girl added me on Facebook, the fishy part that called my attention is the fact that she open her account yesterday, and had only has a few friends, I deterred that there is something weird about this message. it might be a scam in order to get your information and get money out of you or perhaps steal your identity. Be careful out there

Got a friend request from Jessica Bough with the same phone number 415-423-2158 asking me to text her if I wanted to talk.  Glad I checked the phone number on this website.  I unfriended her immediately.

This person I don't even know sends me this on Face Book.
I would not call anyone I just met nor would I give out my number...can we say SCAM...

No , you should not trust it. Please see my post 2 above. It explains what this is about and how "she" found you. The reason you share a mutual friend is because the account in question used your friend's friend list to find you. This grants "her" seeming legitimacy as someone you might know.

Gave me this number 415-423-2158 i havent texted her and wont. the only reason i accept the FB request was she had a mutual friend. I was actullt trying to find out where the 415 area code is at and stumbled across this.

I got this spam message on my Face book with that number.

Person went by Lisa Heinitz FB me and messaged me to call her. If you get a request from this number its a scam don't call the number.

The account that is sending these messages is a fake account set up to send these messages in hopes that you will respond to them via text message. If you do, you will be sent a link to a pornographic site, according to a poster here who did text the number.

If you get a message with this number:

1) Unfriend the person sending the message.
2) Report the account to Facebook as either fake, spam, or scam.

In order to protect your information, as there is potential for identity theft as well:

1) Go to your privacy settings at the top of the page in the left hand corner.
2) Hide the following:
Your phone number
Your email address
Your date of birth (you can hide only year if you'd prefer)
3) Hide your friend list.

In the case of phone number, email, and DOB, there is no real reason this needs to be on Facebook. Anybody close enough to call or email you probably already has this information stored in their phone or email contact list. They probably know your birthday as well.

As for your friend list, I believe this is how this number is finding new contacts. Hiding your friends list will prevent the people you know from falling victim.

Got a message from Ashley Gaspari saying that shes likes my picture. then she proceeded to ask what i wanted in a woman... of course she looks 16 in the picture and had no mutual friends of mine. then she sent me this number.What a w***e.

Same thing, claiming to be a Lisa Broussard.  Oh well the picture was cute.

Definitely a scammer. She did the same thing to me. Friend requested then sent a message to text her back on a phone number. I immediately blocked her and reported her on Facebook.

I got a FB invite and she had 6 friends and then told me to text her and the she claimed to be out of min's and to go to a link. i didnt.

Got referred-to this number from FACEBOOK; telling-me to text-her on my cell phone..said her name-was: Jennifer Kettinger..she texted-me a LINK to,it-turns-out, WAS: fling.com (which APPLE/FACEBOOK APP..blocked, saying the site has illegal-content,etc.)...so I tried DIALING the phone# the texts came-from. & got VERIZON "disconnected-phone" warnings...I guess she's a SCAM or other-illegals that seem-to "permeate" FACEBOOK (maybe one-of-the-ones, kicked-out-of MYSPACE, I read-about in the online news reports??)...hmmm !!

Yep friend request from a fake FB and vague 'have we met' and then message to text this number so we can chat.
