I'm assuming big companies use third party recruiters to scan out worthy resumes before sending them to the actual recruiters. Just had a call last week.

If Charter Communications wants to hire me, they can either accept my application (if I apply) or call me directly.  I don't deal with 3rd party, outsourcing companies which are nothing more than glorified temporary positions without any true guaranteed work.

Further more, those personal profiling questionnaires you use are a waste of time and resource.  Half the time the "right answers" can be Google'd and should not be substituted for a real person interview.

For the record, as a manager when we depended on that same process, the people who the "computer" told us was qualified often ended up out the door before most of their co-workers could remember their names.  As compared to the people we hired without the computer system.

And finally, as a pet peeve... One of your questions in your automated system is very flawed.  If you ask me if I'm a thief and I answer honestly, no.  The next question asking me if the value of stolen goods was between 10 - 20, 20 - 50, 50 or more, seems like admitting you are one no matter what you reply because there is no ZERO option.

The company who is calling people is called, "The Right Thing".  They claim they to be an ADP company.  Their website is www.rightthinginc.com

You're better off not answering.

scam

just data miners
saying they represent big ABC companies

better to invest your time and job search with legitimate organizations

here's a good idea:
have anyone calling you out of the blue
email you their full contact info:  name, company name, phone, email address, and website
and a complete explanation of why they're contacting you

from there you can better research their company and intents

Called both my phones seconds apart while I was busy on one line. Never left a message on either phone, and never sent an email to any of my mailbox accounts, including spam filter folder. I tried a call back, and the recording told me it was a generic answering line and to check my messages for the name of who called before I call back. What messages ? And how would I ask for so n so ?? WTF !!!

they called me after applying with Pepsi. However my phone interview was scheduled for Sunday between 10:30 am-10:45 am and they are just calling at 8:20 pm. I tried to return the call but it is an unattended line. Not sure what to do next but now is not a good time for an interview that is why I did not schedule my appointment for this time :/

Legitimate company: The Right Thing, Inc. <therightthinginc.com>. They are hired by companies to do a variety of Human Resources-type functions.

My experience:

I submitted my resume to a large biotechnology company on the East Coast. About 10 days later, I got a call from this number to do a screening interview. Most of the questions were regarding verifcation of the information in my resume, asking why I left each previous job, whether I would be willing to relocate, etc. In other words, some basic information to pass on to the hiring manager.

I then received a call from the biotech company and interviewed directly with the hiring manager.

Finally, I received another call from this number to set up the in-person interview.

From my perspective, they were completely professional and competent.

Got a call from this number today...message said reply by fax with w-2 copies from 2 employers i had...lol.. call back number was a 1-866 deal ...and to send the w-2's via fax number to verify backround check...previously had a call requesting same info and the number was a 1-866...when i asked why they needed w-2 info the lady, who had a thick indian accent by the way, told me she was located in india and they represented the employer in the hiring process. She said she would send an email to me and had fax info attatched. not the same email i received from chrysler prior to the original call. I believe since the first call made them leary of me asking questions they phoned from an ohio number after with a woman with a american accent asking for the same w-2 info. this time from the 419 number i did not take the call and waited to hear the voicemail...lol..called my attorney general and they suggested to contact chrysler directly to verify because it sounded fishy...i suggest all do the same and dont get caught
