Got a call about 8pm April 16,2012.  Couldn't get to phone.  Checked Caller ID:  Said FOP WA 425-437-0653.  Tried to locate in directory who was at that number.  Found it a listing in Maple Valley, WA 98038 but could not learn what FOP stood for, so plugged it into google and found this page.  Would like to thank everybody for their postings of their own experiences with a similar number.  Oh, I did find there are four numbers being used for making these calls.  0650, 0651, 0652, 0653, not sure but may be a couple more.

I got a call at 8:30 pm and they called from 425-437-0653 and he said he is calling from police foundation and he asked for the lady of te house I said she is not home and he said ok I call back later

-Call from WA FOP Phone #425-437-0657.  No message left.  Will be aware now due to this website that it is a fraudulant call.  It is not called by the real name WA STATE Fraternal Order of Police

I used the Selective Call Rejection, block feature  - through my phone company service - to stop these aggravating - late evening UNwanted calls. I've already installed two numbers that they use to call with and I will block any other number that they use -  and set up a block for each "FOP WA" number.  I've never picked up the phone or talked to these people.  I recommend that no one speak with them because that just makes them call you even more - it's never ending. I thought that there was a law against this.

They call my house repeatedly, I've told them no less than 10 times NOT TO CALL and they still keep on calling.  Tonight when they called, I tried to say "Don't call me" and they hung up!  They do NOT do much for giving themselves a positive image!

Called tonight.  Rang four times and did not leave a message.

This number calls at all hours of the day and evening, any day of the week - very irritating. After reading some of the comments on this website, I checked the link above and did a search at the Better Business Bureau - the company, or charity, could not be found. I have filed a complaint.

Well, I guess if you turn them down, they will keep calling until you do! I have received 1- 4 calls every day from this number for more than eight weeks. They don't even bother to speak anymore - they just call and hang up, call and hang up, call and hang up. They don't even bother to disguise their caller ID. "Max", if this is legitimate, they would not employ these tactics.
I have today reported them to my local Sheriff Department, the Washington Secretary of State and the Washington Attorney General.
By they way, if you look up their status on the Secretary of State website, you'll see that less than 20% of the money collected actually goes to the charity and that was in 2007, the last year they filed a statement.

this so called police memorial foundation wants money. The guy talks nonstop for 1 minute asking for money. I tell him that I work with law enforcement and already give much of my time to them and without missing a beat, the guy interrupts me and says how do you spell your first and last name? I said - did you hear what I was saying? I already work with law enforcement, he then says great then will 10 dollars be enough to contribute? I say once again, I WORK with Law enforcement! he then says ok thanks anyway. This is a SCAM.

This is a recording... and an obnoxious one at that.  First of all the jerks called my home at 8:45 at night waking up my baby which made my dog bark.  It's crap like this that keeps telephone manufacturing companies in business because all I wanted to do was chuck the phone in the toilet.  Jerks.  If it's not a SCAM (which I imagine it is), then this company should be EMBARRASSED about their 'tactics' which completely lack TACT.  I'm so raging pissed right now I'm going to do everything in my power to talk to a person at this number SOME DAY so that I can 'almost' donate money then fail to acknowledge that they are talking.  Oops.  By the way, I've gotten a call from this company at least 11 times since moving into my house in February.  BS!

I could say the same thing - I actually thought it was a recording because when I would say something it was like the guy didn't even acknowledge it. I told him my son was a detective and we support law enforcement and he just kept asking me how to spell my name and thanks for my support.  I wouldn't spell my name and when he kept asking me over and over again I just hung up.  Very very strange.  I felt like it was a recording or just someone who didn't listen to a thing I said.

called around 9pm.  Was asking for David.  I told them that there was no David at this number and they just hung up on me.

They called to my cell phone. No VM.

Same as the rest, I usually don't pick up.  Today, I got a call from 425-437-0641.  Someboday asked for "Smith" (my last name) - then just hung up.  Tried calling the number back, and got hte FOP.  Held for severeal minutes for customer service, then was dumped into a mailbox that gave the message "you have reched the mailbox for extension 477 - this mailbox can not accept messages because it is full"..no way to contact these people.  Filing a complaint with the state A.G. office.

Tired of receiving these calls ALL through out the day. Each time they call it was from a new number. Looked up the contact information on the website and called the 800 number listed. Guess what? I got a nice human that was happy to remove my phone number from thier list. We will see if it works! She did mention that if they call back, to then call her and report it so she can follow up on her end. Try it.. its worth a shot! (800) 644-7207 is the number to call her at.

Well I have gotten calls from this number for months. I just went on thier website and emailed them to remove my number from thier data base. We will see what happens.

Usually call around 6:30, couple of times just before nine. 2-3 times a week. Caller Refuses to answer questions about percentage of a donation (if any) goes to organization.  What is really IRRITATING is they use my first name.  Asked several times to be removed from list and of course they continue to call.

These callers are using fraudulent techniques such as implying they are actual Police Officers, they are trying to intimidate you when they say "your not in trouble or anything" Dont let them intimidate you, as a matter of fact, just dont let them talk to you.


If any of you calling had any kind of backbone at all, you would stand up to your bos right now and tell him that you are not going to use these fraudulent techniques anymore. Do you have enough backbone left, or did they brow beat it out of you all ready


Do NOT give this group anything and pick up the phone and call your local police and sheriff department so they can issue a warning to your neighbors so they dont get ripped off either

No kidding, they count on you to not report them thinking its no big deal, but it is a big deal, it is a very big deal as millions of dollars a year are being taken from the families of officers killed in the line of duty.

I get called a couple of times a week from 206-866-1938. Historically any fundraiser companies that use police/sheriff/firefighter in their name have the lowest amount of money actually going to any charitable cause.  Most of it is eaten up by admin costs.

Every single day I get this phone number listing and it comes up as WA FOP. What in the world is that? And they never leave a message for me. What's up with that?

This phone number is calling to do fund raising for the Washington Fraternal Order of Police Memorial Foundation. I have called the number.  It directs you to a customer service department that can answer questions, help you donate, or anything else related to the FOP. Also, there?s information on www.wafop.com . Plus, you can contact them there with any questions or requests.
The FOP is doing a lot of really great things for Washington police officers and the people that call are trying to help them raise money so they can do even more good.

These guys have called numerous times in the past few months. I questioned the Fast Talker and suddenly some other guy popped on the line to explain how the Do Not Call List does not apply to them because they are a charity. I called BS on this and told them I was filing a complaint with the FTC. Instant hang up. And, true to my word I did report this scam to the FTC.

If these people are really who they say they are I think they are giving themselves a very bad name.  They call after 8:30 p.m. all the time and I don't pick up.  I have tried blocking the number, but they somehow get around that and the calls still get through.  You would think these guys would know what HARRASSMENT is, supposedly being in law enforcement.  I checked out the website and there are pictures of real people, but that doesn't mean anything.  Well, maybe we could find out what their phone numbers are and do the same to them.  Geez, leave me alone, please.  You are invading my privacy.

not from that number but from 206 8661925. I did not answer as I have had the same experience with the fast talker. I told him I never give money over the phone and if he had a website he could direct me to I'd be happy to take a look at it. He promptly hung up on me.

1-360 347-1903 Called at 4:20pm today 11/24/09. My answering machine picked up just as I got to the phone and there was nothing but a dial tone.

The caller ID is now showing 1-425-437-0641 for WA FOP FNDN.
I've received several calls over the last few weeks.

this number, 425-437-0650, calls my house at least 2 times a day, usually starting at just after 8 a.m. in the morning, and again in the evening.  I never answer.  They keep calling.  How do I make them stop?
