Robo-call with hang-up before anyone came on the line. Caller ID just identifies that the number is in Dallas, TX.

Someone called my house phone from an unknown number- The man on the phone said Mrs. Brock very harsh so I just hung up.

they state that this no. is unavailable to reach because of "high security"....my credit card company gave me the phone no. to reach them 1 972-239-5302 and then they gave me their toll free no. to reach them 877-773-8050.......all in all it actually sounds like something i would like my son to have to get the high score i know he is capable of getting and able to get a scholarship for his schooling.  my credit card company said they are NOT on their fraud list and the lady has very informed or very well versed......because she had an answer for everything i asked .....and i asked tons!!!!!!

Same thing here.  I questioned the guy when he said he was his counselor.  I asked him which school district he was calling from and he said "your sons school district"  He became very angry when I continued to question him and then I hung up.  He then proceeded to call me back twice in about 10 minutes but I didn't answer.  This was about a month ago and I have continued to get calls periodically.  Report this number, we'll see if the calls stop.

I just got a call from this number and they asked for My parents using my name.. when i said it was me and asked what the call was about.. they never said a thing and hung up.. I tried to call back several times but sometimes it doesnt even ring.. and sometimes i get an audimated message saying my call canot be completed!! Wtf?

I just received a call from this number. The man asked for me by name. When I asked him who was calling he hung up on me! What's the point of calling if you won't say who you are or what you want?  Are they selling something???

Thank you for the posts about this company.  I will say this, they are persistant.  I didn't pick up, so they called back repeatedly over a 20 minute period.

Got a call today from these people..I didnt know what the woman was on about..talked to daughter after call and she had no clue what they were on about either..she said they would call back later today when wife was in, researched number straight away after call..so now I'm waiting on them to call back so I can cuss out the scamming  B'stards..wont stop em but will make me feel better :)

I got a call too, and the person asked for my son by name. I was worried since he was not home yet from school that day. I tried and tried to call back. Finally spoke to someone. Asked who he was. He said "Christopher from Chester County" and said he knew nothing of the call.

I work for The College Board, the maker of the SAT test, and we do NOT solicit. We have received calls from our customers about this number. I do not know who they are but they are not affiliated with The College Board.

Sounds like a scam and just reported them on the Do Not Call complaint page.  A man claimed he was my son's counselor (call came from Dallas TX and I live in NY) and wanted to send me 12 CD ROMs for SAT prep.  Said we wouldn't be charged if we sent them back in 14 days.  He tried throwing a lot of information at me like SAT times and dates.  My son is too young to take the SATs.  When I asked too many questions they hung up.  Tell them you are reporting them.  They also call from several other 800 numbers.

We have been informed by our school that this is a hoax.  Do not give them your credit card number.

I too have rec'd a call from this number today .  I have had MANY calls w/this same scenario - but I can't remember if they all came from this number.  I was quite irritated when this guy called today. He kept going on about the PSATs, etc.  And when I said to him "you still haven't told me why you are calling me" he would say things like "I'm surprised that your daughter has not taking the PSAT yet, or they are scheduled to take the SAT in Oct or we are concerned...., and do you know that the SAT is now a 2400 point test an no longer a 1600 point test?"  "so why are you calling me?" I would say "to sell me an $800 program?"  that caught him off guard -- he continued to talk about the testing.  I said to him "I'm going to have to talk to her when she gets home" and then he just hung up.  I did a reverse look up on this number and it comes up as a "Barbara Miller in Texas, as a landline"
I've been on the DNC list for many years, so I don't know how this gets through.  When this whole thing started, it was a company out of CA too that was calling me w/the same scenario.,,,,,trying to sell me the cd rom prep course.

I received a call from this number earlier today. It was a man who referred to my daughter by first and last name. He asked me several times if I was the mother, I did not give him any information whatsoever. He then went on to say some things about the SAT, very vague. When I asked for further information about why he was calling he continuously averted answering any of my questions and he eventually hung up.

Same story as above. Called me twice. Hung up both times when I asked for further clarification. Reported number and experience to the National Do Not Call registry www.fcc.gov/cgb/donotcall  -- Everyone should do the same. I must say it is unusual to receive scam calls where the number is listed on Caller ID.

I got a call today that first said my son for SAT test and when I told him he had been out of school for about 20 years it went to oh it was your Grandson and then when he was too young it was Grandaughter. They wanted 129.00 right then for help via a credit card or check card.Could not give me the childs name to to being a minor and privacy.  I am not that dumb. I said "I THINK NOT" and hung up. Tried calling the number back 4 times and it did nothing, not even ring. just would hang up. I knew that this was a scam.

I received the same call from this number. He stated, "Your son has registered to take the ACT/SAT test through school." I replied, "Great! I was going to have him sign up anyway." At that moment my son walked through the door, and I asked him if he signed up through school for the ACT. He replied, "No." At that time they hung up and disconnected. I don't like people that take advantage of someone, so I am alerting my school!

Like many of the other postings here, I got a call from this number.  First he said he was my daughter's SAT Counselor and there was an exam coming up.  When I said "I know we are already registered for the SAT" he changed it to say ACT.  He also claimed to be her advisor, although he said his advisor too.  The he started with the lines saying as part of our service we would be receiving 12 CD's of study materials in the mail.  He then says Okay? and I said I knew nothing about it.  All of a sudden the line went dead.  Sounds like I just averted a scam.
