It's clearly a scam as I don't have a wells fargo account. I've tried to call the # and play havoc w/ the recording when they ask for the 16 digit card # - I dial the phone # that texted me and part of the phone # it asks me to call and I just keep doing that for a few hours hoping that it'll clog up the system - hopefully the scammers will be caught and penalized!

do NOT give any info to them! It is a FRAUD - several of us have called Wells Fargo bank and they know about this and are working on it.

I just received the same text claiming to be Wells Fargo asking me to call this number because my credit card has been deactivated. Quite obviously a scam, however I worry about some people who will fall for it. Plan to report it.

Just got the same message from 507 720 9307, instructing me to call 503 688 9247. Clearly a phisher, whom I've attempted to report to Wells Fargo.

I just got a text msg from 507-720-9309 that read, "your Wells Fargo account has been deactivated, call 503-688-9247. Naturally, I looked up Wells Fargo's REAL number and called them. They verified that neither of these numbers is valid for them and that phishers are very tricky about having people call them and getting info that way.
