These people just called me about lowering my interest rate.  I am on the do not call list but I'm guessing that this is the list they are using to make their phone calls.  I was receiving these calls for a while from a 202 (Washington, DC) number.  I spoke to the scammer on the other end acting like I was interested.  They wanted to "verify" my name, address, phone number and, big surprise, my credit card info.  So I gave them a fake name and the following address: 935 Pennsylvania Avenue, Washington, D.C. 20535.  They asked for my phone number.. hmm didn't they call ME?  So I gave them: (202) 324-3000.  They asked for the 800# on the back of my credit card so I said: 1-800-225-5324.  They then asked for my CC #.  I said 5111... Oh wait a second, can I call you back in a few minutes??  They said no but they could call me back.  I said "Great!  Call me back in 15 minutes!  Thanks!"

I hope they called back.  The address and phone number is for the FBI.  The 800# is the 800-CALLFBI crime line.

So whats the deal? We just keep on getting these calls from517-931-2040 while they cost me money everytime they call. I want to sue the owner of this phone number,and for alot of money. BUT..who can actually locate the person who has this number? I am on a "MAN HUNT" for this (or these) persons.

Called me today. Caller ID said "Disconnected". No voicemail left, didn't call back. I'm sure they are calling for the dirtbags who had my number before me. They owe money to everyone it seems.

I got a call today. I just ignore it. I'm a verizon customer and they did not leave a message.

This company keeps changing there phone number... all they are looking to do is to create cell phone lists, which they will sell.  If they get through, or you return a call... you just gave them what they wanted, a confirmed phone number.  I just got a call again, but didn't pick it up this time.  It did come from Michigan.  I'm going to call the number.

Answered but waited for someone to say something and they didnt so i hanged up. Losers!!!

I am not that old so I didnt answer it and I sent them a text message and the text said: Your message was succesfully delivered to an answering machine. So i know it is not a cellphone.

They call my cell phone and my business Blackberry about once a week - never leave a message.

Started getting these calls on my Verizon cell phone.  I have not answered, and have not tried to call back.  The do not leave a message

they called 3 times in the last month, i never answer, they never leave a message. so annoying. i called back and it said it was an automated service and if i was contacted by one of their salespeople and wanted my number off of their list to press "1" i didn't...just don't know what kind of scams are out there.

I have rec'd two calls from this number, I answered and it was a recording stating something about my credit card and to press 1 to talk to an operator, I pressed 1 to have my name removed and it just rang and rang,  who are they?

keep getting calls - no message / hang up every time - appears from this list it is some kind of credit card scam / phishing.

I've gotten several calls from this number and it was an obvious scam "HI this is Rachel from card services calling to verify your card status, there is no problem with your card" and so forth.  I don't believe in credit cards so I don't have any and I don't think my credit union has offices over seas.  What ever you do DO NOT GIVE OUT YOUR CARD NUMBER!!!!  

I wish I believed in God because I would pray to him to smite these a**holes.

Just got a call from them.  I didn't answer, and they didn't leave a vm.

Just got a call from them too about a credit card. Pressed 1 nothing called back said it was international. My wallet dissappeared in September so I'm afraid someone was getting a card in my name.

I am also on the Do Not Call Registry!

Got a call from this number 5179312040 at 3:30pm. im in Houston. No message left.

This must be the company. If you call the number back and hit '0', they tell you to call this number 616-555-1234. Obviously this is not a working number (I believe it's 411 for the 616 area code), which happens to be the location of Lucre Inc - Grand Rapids, MI. Unfortunately for them, I am on the 'Do not Call' list, and they're about to be hit with a $10,000 fine. I suggest you folks do the same.
