Yes it is a scam, they say the meter is free but they are charging it to medicare which the tax-payers are paying for. Then they will start calling you almost 3 times a week trying to sell you diabetic foot cream, arthritis medicine, pain creams, Please report them to FTC, and your medicare or CMS so they can go after them. Please i Have been dealing with these people from all over the states, they are scamming the medicare and you..

Doesn't do much good for the land line though, and that's what I'd need it for. I don't get scam calls on my cell because I don't use it for anyone other than select friends and family. Businesses, doctors, creditors, etc etc etc do not have my cell number. The reason I kept a land line was for the above mentioned entities. That way, my cell is just fine.

Second call from these folks, First call was from the same number except the last 4 digits (which I'll post on as well, 3899), this one has just called me right now, and I didn't even pick up (as I had remembered the first 6 digits).
I'm thinking of pulling a stunt I saw on Youtube a few years ago, maybe they'll lay off.

I also got the same call from a Diabetic company. They called my cell phone 3 times today an everytime I told them not to call my phone anymore..they are looking for a "Sarah" and I told him he had the wrong # and told him to stop calling and hung up and he was still talking. This guy has an accent where you can barely understand him.I'm wondering if it's a scam.

I have repeated asked for them to remove my number from their calling list and they have yet to do that. Today they have called me numerous times. I have an extremely hard time understanding them to begin with and then today they started arguing with me. When I asked them to remove my number, he asked "are you not diabetic anymore" and I said, yes, he said well then you do know you are risking your eyes, legs, feet, kidney and heart if you don't test your sugar" This was very unprofessional and rude. I feel like I have no option but to put up with their repeated calls. please help if you can.

I just received a call from this number again (after asking to be removed approx 6 times) as nobody in my house hold is diabetic!!! Today I have a bad cold so I'm sure I sound a little crazy. The guy on the other end got very inappropriate. He asked me repeatedly if I was drinking and how much? Then asked me to give him my facebook info which I don't have a f/b page. As I'm repeatedly asking him to remove me from the list he then proceeded to ask if "I could go down on him" and "can he suck on me" At that point I hung up!!!!!!! Wish I could make these calls stop.

Scum of the Earth =Unbelievably rude and forceful, trying to elicit protected information even though they had intimate knowledge they SHOULD NOT have had!

I am a diabetic, so I can understand these calls now that I see others' posts. However, I do NOT give out my cell phone number to anyone and that is the phone they are calling. Will try to block them the next time they call my cell phone.

These people call me constantly. Finally I started calling them and made a conference call with the same number. USE *6756123539096. It is HILARIOUS to here them pitch each other without knowing it. One even told his fellow worker he is on the DNC list. I have laughed till I had tears in my eyes. They have no idea they are pitching each other. You gotta try it!

They keep calling. We usually do not answer calls out of state, but my wife answered a call on Monday and they asked for me. She told them I was unavailable and to take us off their calling list.
They called again this morning and answered it only to tell them to take me off their calling list again. Some Indian accent man was on the other end that I could not understand and could not hear clearly.
Why can't these people use someone you can at least understand and why can't the Indians get another reputable job????

I am sick of these people calling and not saying anything. I scream HELLO and no response. I said today I was calling the BBB and the police for harassing me and then they wanted to talk. I told them to shut up, no one wants to hear their BS and to quit calling me!

There are a lot of these guys out there. I decided one day to see if they were legit and provided only pharmacy and dr name/town. A new meter and tedt strips showed up at my house.
I believe they are insurance fraud essentially to benefit their sells, and if the find the right elderly person the will probably run it as long as they can, for me i canceled same day it arrived.... still get calls from them all the time to sign up though.

Got the call, same as described above - loud background noise and heavy accent. He asked to speak to "Wayne". I told him it's the wrong number, but he insisted it's the right number! I'm curious on what they want and how far they can go.

That is called spoof card, it lets you use someone elses phone number so you can hide your idenity. it has been around for some time now.

Caller said he was from a Diabetic Supply Company and my insurance company will cover the costs of diabetic materials. I told him that I am not diabetic, have never been and have been asked to be removed from their calling list at least 6 times. I asked to speak to a supervisor and he hung up on me. Spoke very broken english and it sounded as if they were in a large warehouse with alot of echoing and background people speaking.

These calls are almost certainly originating outside the US, and (unfortunately) that means there's no way to stop them since
they are beyond the reach of US enforcement agencies.
Callers such as these use software to fool your caller ID into displaying false numbers, so the number that shows up is highly unlikely to be the number or location where the call REALLY originated.
Annoyances such as this have become commonplace in the age of internet phones and cell phones.
After a while, you learn to recognize the numbers and simply ignore the incoming calls.
