They are not closed, in fact they are open!! they will never close they just keep changing the name of the company in which they use to call people!! THEY have moved because the internet had thier address where they had moved to. I am not going to give out thier new address but are in business and selling quality magazines to people who want them. :)

THIS COMPANY IS IN FACT A SCAM. I USE TO WORK FOR THIS COMPANY AND I KNOW HOW THEY WORK. AS SOON AS I FOUND EVERYTHING OUT I QUIT. I'M NOT INTO SCAMMING PEOPLE. THEY WILL CALL YOU ASKING IF YOU ARE RECEIVING YOUR MAGAZINES CAUSE THEY ARE HAVING SHIPPING ISSUES IN YOUR AREA. THEN THEY TELL YOU THEY NEED TO UPDATE THE ACCOUNT AND ASK YOUR AGE, OCCUPATION, MARTIAL STATUS, AND A "SURVEY QUESTION" WHICH IS WHAT CARD OUT OF VISA, MASTER CARD, DISCOVER, OR AMERICAN EXPRESS OFFERS YOU THE BEST SERVICE. WHICH IS THE MOST IMPORTANT THING. THEN THEY TELL YOU THEY NEED TO TRANSFER YOU TO THE SUPERVISOR, WHICH IS NOT REALLY A SUPERVISOR BUT A "CLOSER". NOW MIND YOU THE ONLY INFO THEY HAVE IS YOUR NAME, PHONE NUMBER, AND ADDRESS. THE REST OF THE INFO THEY GET IS FROM YOU UPDATING YOUR "ACCOUNT". THEY SAY YOU GOT SIGNED UP THROUGH A PROMOTIONAL OFFER. THEN THEY WANT TO LOWER YOUR PAYMENTS TAKE 6 MONTHS OFF YOUR SERVICE AND REMOVE THE AUTOMATIC RENEWAL. THEY SAY THEY NEED TO RUN YOU THROUGH THE ORIGINAL RECORDING FOR THE CHANGES TO GO INTO EFFECT WHEN IN FACT YOU ARE ACTUALLY SETTING UP A NEW ACCOUNT. THE BEST WAY TO GET OUT OF THIS IS VERY SIMPLE. EVEN THOUGH YOU TELL THEM YOU ANY TO CANCEL AND THEY AGREE IN 6 MONTHS YOU WILL GET ANOTHER CALL FROM THEM OR EVEN IF YOU TELL THEM YOUR NOT INTERESTED OR ANYTHING. THE ONLY WAY TO GET OUT OF THEIR SYSTEM IN FOR THEM TO (WHAT THEY CALL) KILL YOU OUT. WHICH MAKES YOU NOT QUALIFIED FOR THE PROGRAM. THEY WILL NOT DO SINGLE UNEMPLOYED PEOPLE, OR SINGLE STUDENTS AND THE AGES THEY DO IS FROM 19-69. BEST THING TO DO IS SAY THAT YOU ARE OVER 70 AND YOU WILL NEVER GET A CALL FROM THEM AGAIN. NOW THEY DO GO BY DIFFERENT COMPANY NAMES.... THE ONES I KNOW OF ARE: ISLAND PERIODICALS, COASTAL READER SERVICE, WESTERN RENEWAL SERVICE, TREASURE COAST, AND PREFERRED RENEWAL SERVICE. Called me last night.

What was the name of said magazine company?  I got hit w/ something like this a couple of years ago, paid for my subscription, and it was done.  Then, two years later, they contacted me again, saying I was on an auto-renewal thing (which I didn't remember doing, but they originally contacted me on a break at work, so I, foolishly, just agreed to geth them to leave me be).  I've since demanded they take me off the whole auto-renewal thing, making them tell me when I'm done w/ the agreed-to terms, I am done.

This is a magazine subscription company phishing for information to fraudalently charge your account for a subscription. If you argue with them that you don't owe them $ they will refer you to a customer service # 888-299-8272. Look up that # and its like a rash on the internet. They knew my name, address, subscription and expiration date but tried to tell me I had only paid for the first year and now owed the rest which was bogus. Claimed they had a recording authorizing charges but couldn't produce it when asked for it. *Do Not Give Them Any OF Your Information!*

This number has called me entirely too many times and refuses to leave a voice mail message.  They're never going to get me this way.  I do not answer calls for numbers I do not recognize especially if a voice mail message is not left.  If it's important, they'll leave a detailed message.
