Man with foreign accent asked if we accept American Express as a form of payment. Question was not answered. Calls from this number will be ignored.

I just got the same call and we are a company that does not take credit cards. I kept trying to get a clear answer and the man calling just seemed irritated and kept repeating, "Do you take American Express?" I explained, "Sir, we do not take credit card payments. Hello?"
A long pause.
"Do you take American Express?"
I hung up and so far no call back.

we sell estate items coins silver & gold collectables and we just received a call from the same number 567 244-0694 traces back to Norwalk oh on wither we accept american express our CC server does cross match for phone vs cardholder info I would suggest the same we also do not ship until funds are received in our account that lowers the fraud we have and all our products are processed through the site we do not accept any phone requests to avoid the mismatch on the customers cards this also records the IP address for any transactions Please contact your CC company to see if you have the same services

This number called me regarding credit card payments.
The person was very clearly foreign, and asked me if my business accepted Visa as form of payments.
I asked him what his business with me was, he replied;"I am just supposed to ask if you take VISA as a form of payment!"  I never actually answered any questions, but in turn kept asking him one more...
This frustrated him, and sounded like he was being monitored.  I asked what his name was, he replied; "My name is Arron Johnson."  I asked what company he was calling from, re replierd, "Johnson Auto in Clearwater Florida."  Then I asked repeaterdly, "Why are you in Florida calling me in Colorado asking if I take VISA as a form of payment?" He would only repeat over and over... "Sir, I am only 'supposed' to ask what you accept for credit card payment!"
Sound shady to you????
So after I irritated him, he said someone would call me back.  I tried calling back, number rings fast busy signal.  I then looked the number up on DEX, and it shows that is a landline in HURON COUNTY in Norwalk Ohio.  I am willing to bet that this is a call center that just forwards calls, and may possibly be outside this country.
Thru the NAPA I work for, we get scam calls periodically from people asking us to charge a large number of several items to their card and ship them to them. After you run the card for the cost of the parts and shipping, and send them out, they track it showing that it is on the way and then stop the payment, and you loose out on the parts, the cost of them, the charges on the card and fees thru the credit card company and the shipping.
Be careful people.
