next time im answering "department of justice, how may i help u"

they could pretend to be anyone - getting info on you - if you have any debt.......they want to find you!

there is a free voice mail service called youmail.com - you can assign different greetings for each number.
When ever you add a "nuisance number", they could hear "were sorry, the  number you have reached has been disconnected"   .....works great!

Received a call from this number, and two other VA area codes 540 and 703, but this was the only number  on which I could find information, no messages were left.

Started receiving 2-3 calls each evening the last few days from the (804) area code. No message left. Now today it's 2 calls already from this (571)362-0661 number.

Could not understansd the user, they were inquiring if I needed Auto Insurance

Have been receiving numerous phone calls on my cell (at least 2-3 daily) from 571, 703, 274, 571 and 804 area codes.  They never leave message or voice mail.  This is very annoying and costly since I am on a pay-as-you-go program.  I tried returning calls, line disconnected.  Was finally able to get through on one of the 571 numbers and it was a recording that advised me that they were a Google Subscriber and to leave a message.  I left a message asking them to remove my name from the calling list.  Is there something that can be done about this habitual calls?  Thanks!!!

I have had the same three area codes call me this week.

I have received 14 phone calls from 13 different Virginia numbers this week.  The area codes are 757, 703, 571, 540, 434, 276 and 804. I answer and nobody is there.  Does anyone have any suggestions about how to stop this?  They call almost every hour during the day.

yeah i have a list of 7 numbers including this one, that calls me through out the day. In researching them so far all are from some "car insurance" and some foreign guy. I'm thinking this guy came into having a set lot of numbers or phones and is now trying to scam. Think perhaps next call I'll answer and see how mad I can make him.

Tried calling the 0661 number back (I've had 3 calls today from different, random numbers) and the line was disconnected within 1 minute of receiving the call....very strange.

571-362-0661 Calls non stop ... always trying to get information. Scammer and a rude one at that.Calls repeatedly and when you call back the number is disconnected.

They call about 4x a day and with 2 different area codes...... Phoney... They sound like from a different country don't give you info out. Need to attorney general from we're ever you live..

This person claims he is from Auto Doctor and this is 2nd number he has used to call me.  I succeeded in blocking the other number he called me on which is 804-672-7899.  They also keep calling me at least 1-2 times day.    I also keep on getting the calls though, from different phone numbers

They call me 3 times a day!!!

They keep calling from different VA area codes - all day for over a week.  When I answer they hang up.  SO ANNOYING!!!!!!!!!!!

Same here. Within the past four days I have had five different Virginia area code phone calls. Some have called twice.

I do not answer. They do not leave a voicemail.  If the people are pretending to be an insurance company and ask for your car model (like in one of the comments above) they are just trying to get your personal information and take you for a ride, no pun intended.

These are the area codes that have called me thus far:

571, 434, & 703.

They won't stop. I just don't answer.

Beware of low class scammers  Provide no info. # is a VA cell phone. The Washington DC area is swamped but help is on the way. Right now repor to the FTC.gov.

Phony insurance

A very rude lunatic was on the other side when I answered my phone, claiming that he was with All-state Car Insurance, and claimed that I was eligible for discounted car insurance due to being a good driver, and wanted me to confirm the make of my car.  I told him that I already had a car insurance and that I was not going to give any information to a lunatic that I did not know.  He started raising his voice at me and I hanged up.  This was the third time this I was getting a call from this number. I am going to call All-State car insurance to find out if this lunatic is representing them.
