This is scam .. idt from PayDayOne.  He stated he had a case pending against me.  Gave me 646-434-2472 to call back regarding this legal action.  I called it back and spoke to Erika.  She stated I had money deposited into my account and that I had not paid it back.  I told her there was no money ever deposited into my account, therefore, no payment due.  She also said she was going to contact my bank  I said no, she was not going to contact my bank, I told her I would have my bank contact her.  She said I could have my attorney or my bank contact her.  I told her I would have my attorney contact her regarding my suing them for harassment.  This is a huge hoax, I will have my bank and my attorney call them.

If this firm is legitimate, then what's their name?
I asked them and they refused to answer.
I doubt if lawyers with thick Indian accents have names
like James Morgan & Aaron White.
I refered them to the FBI.

OMG---I read through all your comments and couldn't believe how these 'officers' of the court behave.  I thought I was the only one who they entertained with their stupidity.Like with all of you---i got the "we're calling to get your lawyer's number....i'm from the cyber crime unit....we are investigating interstate fraud which you committed....don't go home because the police will be waiting for you when you get off work....this is officer Dick w/his sidekick Officer Jane. we're coming to take you to prison....."  I do owe for a payday loan, but I have already made arrangements to pay them off.  At First when PCS called me (@work) they tried the bad cop routine with me, but when i keep asking him to repeat what he said, i was transferred to his 'supervisor'----i simply made arrangements to pay off the loan.  It seems to be the same company-their routines are similiar---so i believe that it could be the same company and the "system has not been updated' yet---or LOANPoint (the paydayloan co i defaulted on) sold the default to several companies.  Good LUCK-----just remember to check out the laws for your state and file a complaint w/the attorney general's office-----

A guy with a very heavy accent called my daughter's school and left a nasty message about "He wished me the best in court if I did not return his call" (took me listening to the message several times to figure out what he was saying).  I called back with a serious attitude and he said there was a lawsuit filed for me having taken out 3 pay day loans and I need to pay or I would be arrested.  I questioned him numerous times as to who is this, what is the name of the company, who is your superior...etc.  
I allowed him to attempt to answer my questions.....I finally informed him I am active duty military and we are not eligible for those type of loans....then all of a sudden he has the wrong person.
I am not done with theses a-holes yet...they called the wrong one this time!!!

got a message from a indian guys named joe adams. telling me to return this call in a timely matter. if the call is not retutned in a timely matter by me or my lawyer, all he can do is wish me good luck. the other comments said it is a scam, possibly if you took a loan out from cash net, they sold your info to scammers. I do believe that is what happened. i hope this report can help out.

I called this organization because they are harassing one of our clients currently in bankruptcy.  The man than answered could hardly speak English and refused to provide the company name.  While providing client name and case number to this individual, he ended the call.  I wonder if this is a cell phone and the calls are not originating from the United States but from another country.  Please do not provide any information to anyone calling from this number.  This does not appear to be from legitimate collection call.

I also had a call today, very inappropriate scripted message was left on my voice mail.  I agree that it is entirely possible that the call is in regard to a legitimate outstanding debt, however I am no criminal and I am working on settling with the company the debt is with directly.

There is no way that I will allow one cent of my money to go to support such a negative operation.  My choice is to direct my energy and resources to companies that are promoting good.  

Collections agencies such as this are like piranhas, they buy bad debt for pennies on the dollar and suck the life out of you trying to collect the difference.  It is especially important to keep your self grounded and calm, they are trained to trigger fear in you, because this is when we make poor decisions like giving them our bank information.  I have been through collections and court and still had enough to live on, feed my family and keep a roof over my head. You will too.

I have been getting calls from the number: 585-584-1142.  They tried to get money out of me.  As I can see from other posts that this is a scam.  Sorry to all people who were scammed.

This is definitely a scam! A foreigner called our home posing as a police officer from Rochester new York with this tel. no. 585-584-1142. He told us that my son had to get an attorney because my son supposedly made a loan in the amount of $892.00 and never paid them back. The thing is my son never made such a loan so beware of these scruplous scum bags!

These men posed as men from the police department with the names Steven Richards and an Officer Green. When we called the Rochester police department there was no officer with said name.

When we called that number back a man answered the phone claiming to be now a law firm! Caution, these men had a thick Indian, Punjabi,or Fijian accent.

An oriental sounding guy called me from 585-584-1142 and said he was from a law firm ( didn't catch the name because I could barely understand him) and that I had a lawsuit filed against me which is complete bs. He asked me to give him a call back when I hire an attorney but I've read that they're just extortionist that get peoples information from an unknown database ( watch what personal information you give out online). They usually get information from people who just filed for a payday loan or something similar. After they get your information, they call you to confirm your info which sounds pretty legit but it's not. They're just trying to have you pay them money, DON'T FALL FOR IT! IT'S A SCAM!

I think I have been part of a scam.  I have been getting calls at my job from someone saying I am part of a legal investingation.  I finally talk with this foreign man and he told me that I was part of a legal investigation and they were going to send someone to my place of residence or employment to arrest me because I had not payed back a payday loan.  They knew my social security number and everthing.  They asked me if I wanted to settle it out of court and I told them yes.  So they told me that I would have to pay $500 down and I told them I didn't have $500, but I could pay $250.oo.  He said okay and told me to call him back when I got a money gram.  We kept talking back and forward, but I finally got the money gram and set them the $250.  He called me again but with another name on 2/21.  He told me I would have to have $300 in by the 29th of February or they would send my the $250 back and proceed with the court fees and I would be arrested.  I asked him to send me something saying I had payed the $250 and he told me that he could only send that after the balance of $1100.00 had been paid.  I told him that I felt like this was a scam and he told me that I was on recorded lines and it was not a scam.  We argued back and forth for a while and he told me to call him on the 29th and let him know if I had the money.  I told him that I was willing to pay $100 a month until I got it paid.  He first told me that the bank only would accept $500 then he said the bank would only accept $300.  I then knew something was wrong.  Whe I looked them up on the internet "United Federal Bank", the first thing to come up was stories about how they scammed people.  Please let me know what I need to do in this matter

they are calling me on my work again and again and saying that they have filed a lawsuit against me and they have all my informations.i have informed FBI and bbb about this and nw they are tracing their number.                i think so they are calling from pakistan n i suggest all the people not to pay single penny to this scammers

These people are crazy! They call ed me toooo many times to count, and will not give me any reason for the calls. The voice is a foreign guy ( Alex Wright) with a vey heavy accent very creepy. I going to contact the Attorney Generals office in my state on these people. I also blocked their # from calln me as well.

Not sure when they started naming people with thick accents "Norman" but that person called my cell phone over 25 times in less than 10 minutes. They were calling back to back so much that I couldn't even dial out of my cell phone because they kept calling.

I blocked the number on my cell then he called my job.

Screw this guy...and his threats. What's funny is if I owe something which is totally possible, if they could just map it out and tell me what is what and lose the dramatics I would address it.

I have been receiving phone calls from this same group of people for the past 4 months, Every person that has called had a very distinct Indian accent.  I actually thought this was a real collections call and I gave them my debit card information, now I am out $646.00 and I have done everything possible to get my money back with no help.

Just received a call from them..  Told them that the Cooke County Sheriffs office wants to talk to them and he hung up..  Go figure..

I recieved calls exactly like these and I found out that they are scams. It actullay took me the hard way to learn this. I even gave them information and I had to get my personal things changed. Due to them starting to take money from my bank account.

Yeah I have recieved these same calls and said pretty much the same words. They are scam because I was scammed out of 2000 dollars.

They say there from New York investigation office. And that I'm have a lawsuit against my name and s.s. #. they said they are coming to my residence to take me to court.when I was trying to get more info officer Jackson was getting mad he even told me that I got no brain.

it cant be real. the location of this land line is a residence on smith street in rochester   if any of you took out a loan with cash net usa... they sold your private information to scammers.

Thick Indian accent - threats of incarsarationa nd people coming to my home and taking me to court. I  explained the trasaction they were refering to was part of a BK - threats persisted

yes, these peoples are fraud. this is not a legimate company. they are just an indian people with american sudo name and also with heavy accent. i used to bearly understand them.some officers left a voice mail on my phone and on work mail box aswell.stating that the investigation officer are going to pick me up from my home place or my work place and job will be in japety.and i am still waiting for the investigatoin officers to come.so please dont entertain such officers. if u recieve any call frm this number just hang up. thats it.

got a call from this number over  the weekend. his name is david williams. these scammers never quit and i wish we could findthem and hang them!!

Someone just called from this number stating they were from a courthouse.  I indicated that I would have to call them back and do not intend too.  I have taken a couple of cash advance loans and contacted them and it is definitely a SCAM.  Check with the loans yourself!

Contacted at my place of employment with all the same information listed by all of you in your e-mails above. Unfortunatly for them they called the Immigration Customs Enforcement number in the northeast.

I rec'vd a call 2/7/11, from an Officer Peter Andrew (or something like that) I could barely understand him-maybe heavy Filipino accent?  Anyways, he wanted to know if my atty. had informed me of my case.  I said what atty., what case?  He preceeded to say I was being sued for a cash advance from 2009 or 2010 and that if I didn't pay $599.99 today, they would send Officers to my place of work and escort me to the courts!  I said who is this?  He said Bureau of Fraud, we're in the back office- then said he worked for Johnson & Johnson assoc.  He also wanted me to fax a letter stating I owed this debt and that I would not dispute this debt-yeah right!  I called the #s he left on vm and on my cell and neither worked!  He just called me again today, 2/8/11, wanting to know where the fax was-I informed him I contacted an atty. and I'd like proof of what I owe, and an address so me & my att. could meet w/them and he got mad and said Officers would be at my work to escort me to court tomorrow!  I told him he couldn't harrass me at work and he said tomorrow I will find out what they can and can't do.  Can they get away with harrassing and threatening?????  Crazy people in this world!!!

yeah, i got a call from 2045939536 to call this number back or the guy wishes me "good luck".  I called the number back and told them that i knew they were a fraud based on all of the posts here. the guy got upset and said "I will tell the officer to stop calling you and just pick you up to court" such a scam. i am getting quite tired of scam artists and their attempt to take money.
