Message received at 1:12PM PST on 02/04/2008.  Long recording of an interview of some old man who served in the peace corps.  Could have been a political figure, but didn't bother waiting to listen to the rest of the message.  Came in on the 800 number.  Frustrating because I pay for every call that comes into the 800 number.

Also got this call on my 800 number. 11 minutes. Can't find the recording on the voice mail though. Weird.

Received a call on an 800# that I've never given to anyone for 11 minutes on 2/3/2008. There was no introduction to the call and it was a speech from Mike Gravel (who I happen to like, but that's an aside). Don't know how they got this number or why I was being called. Don't have caller ID on this line, but my bill showed this was from a number in Rochester, NY.

Just found this message board after talking with my long distance phone service about an 11 minute long phone call on an 800# that I've never given anyone. Like the above posters, the number is listed out of Rochester NY. Number was 585-730-6048 on 2/3. I believe I did get a call that day and it sounded like Mike Gravel talking. Very strange. Like the above poster mentioned, there was no introduction to the message and it got cut off unceremoniously. What's the deal with this?

Call came into my 800 number at 3:23 PM on 2/21/08 and I was billed for 4 minutes.  As I remember, it sounded like a radio playing at so low a volume I couldn't make out what it was about.  I kept waiting for someone to respond, but no one did.  No name was provided on the Caller ID, however the number 585-730-6048 was provided on the Caller ID and the statement just received.  The white pages for this number indicate it is from an unlisted and unavailable Verizon Wireless phone number in Rochester, NY.

I had a similar experience with a call from this number on 02/22/08.  The call came from Rochester, NY, and there was no voice message.  I asked a Private Detective to investigate who it is that might be making the call.

Came in at 7pm on 1/22/08 on my 800 number. This number is not published anywhere. 11 minutes.

Got this call to my relay service. Am very happy I didn't have to listen or pay for call. Didn't call back through relay system

Called at 430AM on my cell phone!!! Hung up pissed!

Call received at 9:26, p.m., on 800 No. 6.3 minutes. One of my kids listened for about 5 mins and passed me the phone. I hung up right away.

Has anyone considered making a series of collect calls to this abuser?

Similar call left on my answering machine (1/27/08 11:40pm EST) the weekend before the Massachusetts Presidential primaries...I got a total of SEVEN CALLS, mostly from Mitt Romney (4), John McCain (2), and yes, the ONE call from Hillary stood out due to its length (2.9 minutes!), being the only Dem call, and I remember my immediate reaction to the unrequested desecration of Hillary's voice on my answering machine...to my toll-free (for callers, not for me) 877 line that I only keep for my mother to call me easily.  Low enough for campaigners to replace telemarketers as the scourge of the phone lines, fill up your machine, waste your time, but then to make YOU pay for the LD call, that's just unconscionable...like Hillary, huh?  C'mon, where's our "National Political Do Not Call Registry"?

Received long political at call at 4:30 a.m. (Feb 1, 2008) on two different business 800 numbers.  Obviously either a pro-democratic party or a pro-homosexual advertising.  As with many of you, it cost us in time and money just to listen to their diatribe.

Received a call on January 23, 2008 at 8:19 p.m. with no greeting or identification by the caller.  Talking began immediately and appeared to be in the middle of a speech.  The voice sounded like Hillary Clinton.  I thought it was part of the debates but could never hear any background noise, moderator interruptions, or get a response from my asking who was calling.  When I received my phone bill this number was listed as calling the 800 Service.  I have never used this service and have never given anyone this number.  The phone bill says it was called from Rochester, NY.

Called in on our toll free exchange. Some sort of political talk show talking about palistine, hammas, Bush, Hezbollah, Syria, and Iran current affairs.
