I rerceived a voice mail from them (unfortunately, I do not remember the name she gave when asked, but it had the word "medical" in it).  I returned the call and the person with whom I spoke said that I had an outstanding bill at a certain medical assocites group.  I told her that I was unaware of any outstanding debts with them and that I would call the group directly and verify with them.  She said that if I were to do that they would just refer me back to her collection agency,and that if I made the payment with her that they could keep anything negative from my credit report.  I called the medical associates group and verified that I had no outstanding balance.  They also said that they only work with 1 collection agency for such matters.

They keep calling in about my minor child's information.  ANyone know who I should call

This number is calling me at work! I want them to STOP Calling ME I can not afford to lose my JOB!!

I just got a call on my mothers name, when i called back they would not give me any info whatsoever. She doe snot owe any debt. I think this is a big time scam going on.

Phone is listed under a laura ortiz, the company is a collection agency that deals with medical debtors. They have 2 location here in phoenix. I have the addresses and other info I just have to find the paper I had it written on haaha

Anyone who calls, and leaves a name an a refference number but doesn't say where they are calling from is a debt collector. Usual they will have some story to bait you in to paying off an old bill that has already been charged off, or so much time has elapsed you legally don't have to pay it. Notice how they say ref or claim number and not (case number) because that would be illegal. And this number comes up as a government number. That is not the case, corporations can have there number come up as whatever they want. Some collection agencys have it setup when you call a number with the area code where you live pops up to make you think they are from the same town or local. When they call just tell them that this convo is being recorded and make it sound believable, they will get uncomfortable and hang up

Does anyone know who this call is coming from?  I just got a message from them asking me to call and gave they provided a reference number.  I am not late on any bills so this should not be a collector unless someone else opened something in my name...

After reading George's post, glad I didn't answer this call....thought it odd that all that shows up in caller ID is 602

Collection Bureau with a setup that indicates it is a Maricopa County Government call on caller ID.
