Rec'v a call with no caller with no name on caller ID; presented himself as the Fraternal Order of Police.  He was belligerent - I blocked him on COX telephone support.  I'm calling the police and the governor's office tomorrow to verify.

Yes, this is the Arizona Fraternal Order of Police who we have donated to before. It's too bad the caller ID feature doesn't show it's from AZFOP. I mentioned it to their representative.

These are the telephone numbers of harassment callers from 3rd March to 4th April, 2012, made on my residence phone and cell phone.  All numbers were listed on 800notes.com by other people who had received harassment calls from these numbers.

All these numbers were of unknown persons or not recognized by me as companies I knew.  After the first two or three times I stopped answering them and simply rejected the calls unanswered or deleted unheard or unread any messages they left.

The one thing that seems to cause them to stop calling is to simply allow no contact with the harasser who is calling. It seems to me that the harassers purpose of making contact with the called individual is thwarted by simply rejecting him and declining to pay any attention to him at all. This works for telemarketer, solicitors, and so-called surveyors as well. The one thing none of them can abide is to be ignored. If you prevent any contact whatsoever; they lose, you win. When you answer a call or listen to or read a message; the harasser smiles and you become frustrated.  If you answer and immediately hang-up or delete any message; you smile and the harasser becomes frustrated. Right?

Jp from Tucson I even blocked this # and added to my list on my phone system of telephone numbers I don't want to accept calls from. When I went to add this # my telephone system stated it was already on my list of unwanted calls, yet it still got thru.

I just got a call from this number....it was the "Fraternal Order of the Police"......I just said I was not interested and hung up.  I'm sure they wanted a donation.

Immediate hang up when I answered.

I got a call from this number. The gentleman left a short message: "Are you there?" Then hung up immediately

I really dislike having these random companies calling my home.  Then, when you try to return the call they dont pick up, SO, I tried on my mobile and guess what, a female answered the call.  I asked her to kindly remove me from their list immediately or I would report their number to the BBB.

Same here. May be auto dial and by the time we answer, they've picked up the first person who answered.. We get a lot of this. That's why I preferred unlisted. Not as easy for them to get numbers, tho not impossible.  Such a nuisance. I sometimes call back. Often there's a recorded "leave your number if you want to be taken off their list"  they may already have your number via CID. I've seen it recommended that we not leave numbers. My children call fro someone else's phone at times and know we probably won't answer. Nuisance.

This is strange: the message that I replied to has disappeared. I'm still getting calls from this number with no message and no caller shown (except for a repeat of the phone number).

I agree--they called on the 14 th and now the 21st.  If the represent the FOP (whoever that might be),  they are doing a disservice to what may be a good cause.  NO voice, NO message--I blocked them!

They just called me at 5:07pm, I didn't answer..but there was a message on my voice mail. But when I played the voice mail...there was just a click..and no left message. The caller ID says "Unknown Name" Now if it's somebody from the Fraternal Order of the Police...you would think they would use a proper caller ID...it's got to be a scam. If they have anything to do with the Police Dept...they would show on caller ID.

Caller claimed to be collecting for the fraternal order of police. She didn't say which police?  Then she said it was for police families. When I explained the polices don't solicit over the phone from "unavailable" caller ID numbers. She decided not to talk top me anymore.  Is a scam although I'll bet a small percent of money scammed from the public makes it to a charity to keep them out of jail.

These folks don't give up.  Won't leave message.  Called a month ago with different Phoenix phone number. I believe they are a third party solicitor and not the FOP and have a pretty bad rep.

Called 1st and hung up. 2nd call wanted $45.00 donation. Said don't have Then he said $35.00 said I don't have, then he said $15.00 and I told him I am on a do not call list and do not call me again. He was polite and we hung up.

I didn't answer the call this time but a week or so ago they called and asked to speak to me by name.  As soon as they identified themselves as the Fraternal Order of Police, I hung up.  I had given to them back in 1995 or 1996 when we lived in Colorado.  We have moved twice since then and now live in Arizona.  Needless to say we do not have the same phone number but they have traced me to my new number which should be illegal "charity" or not.

I got a call from someone who said he was from the fraternal order of police. I tried to ask him a question and he wouldn't shut up. He just kept yapping away. I hung up on him.

They have called several times and don't leave a message.
