Recording claiming to be apart of a summons division. Requested that I contact them because a summons will be served and that there has been fraudulent activity attached to my social security number and name. These people called me once before (same recording but different number) but the recorded number was a different name. When I called them, I was told they were looking for someone else and would remove my name. Funny how, they called me with my name on the recording stating they were coming to arrest me. I am assuming they got my real name from the caller ID when called this number, 612-354-4073, trying to find out why I was being contacted.

A week or so later, the same recording called me with my actual name and same recording. The new number was 208-391-7727. These people have my cell and home numbers!!

Hi I have received the same type of calls three last week and one today , just crazy!!

Same as above.  also received a call from 1-208-391-7727 with same scam.  What should we do to prevent this going forward?

I also received a call from this company the first time I called back they answered and put me on hold several times until I finally hung up.  The second time I missed the call I called back and held several times again.  This time I waited and finally was able to talk to someone and they told me that they were looking for someone else.  I do not know how they got my number but it is for sure a scam.  They do everything that they can to get you to hang up so they do not have to talk to you.

I got a call a week ago from a 8435319274, looking for another person claiming that they had a summons fofor this person, for two counts of fraud. Now a week later the same person calls me but in in my married name claiming the same thing but in this number 6133544073

I got the same phone call, but the summons was for someone else, today i git the same call but in my what was my married name but they were two different numbers but same female voice

I received a call from this number daily.  I chose not to answer it and they never leave a message.  Well, yesterday, they did leave a message stating that if I dont return their call, legal procedures will begin with a subpeona served to me at work and at home.  I tried calling back the number, but no answer.  Funny, they use to call me everyday and sometimes 2 - 3 times, but now, no calls so far.  Will block this number now.  

They called me today with an audio message and gave me a file number. I called back and they asked for that number, I told them that I did not write it down because I figure this is a scam. They asked for the number I was called on and I did give them that because they already had it. They put me on hold for 15 sec. and then said. We have pulled your number off of the list. LOL SCAMMERS

Legal action was going to be brought again me if I did not call them back. A scare tactic and BS.

Yes I just received the same call everyone is describing above. They did mention a Kevin Pennington twice. To call back 612-354-4073.   When I called back I said i was returning a call, the male that answered then asked my personal information at which time I turned around and asked them who they were trying to contact.  The man that answered said, "well we don't take prank calls", and I answered "neither do I, so please stop calling this number unless you are willing to give me information on why you are calling it to begin with" and he hung up.

A co-worker got a call like this years back, she got scared and pulled out her check book and gave them her bank info at which time about $700 dollars were deducted from her bank.  I later that same year, received a call again the same, but when i asked them to fax me court papers they then said we could settle this off the court if i agreed to pay $300. Luckily i had someone who took over the call and started asking more questions so the person hung up on them.

Don't fall for this, its a scam and they are taking advantage of honest working people.

same here! shameful. I've never heard of, "you broke the law, we are going to file charges, but if you call first we won't". huh? That doesn't even make sense. Not only why would you warn a criminal, but second what do you mean if I call first you won't? a crime is a crime, you don't get to say sorry, and they say ok, well if you're sorry them, let's just forget about it. This is either a collection agency or someone trying to scam people out of money.

I just received the same phone call at my job.  Its ashame these jerks cant be found and prosecuted.  It's was very alarming to me as well .

same thing, recorded message back to the 613 #, still asking for a person who is NOT me, they state it's their 3rd and final call "good luck in court" i'm hoping it's true bc  i'm tired of their phone calls.  I did some research and it sounds like the company is using "spoofing" software so they can put any number they want as the call back number. I just wish they'd stop calling my phone for another person.  The funny thing is they want the person they are looking for to call them and give them the address of their place of employment, and then they say they will be contacting their HR director. IF they know who the HR director is, cant they just ask the HR director for directions. Spells awful Phishy!!!

its a scam these people go on the internet and collect data and then start calling people and telling them this crap that they have fraudlent charges against them and will serve them papers at their place of business for one its illegal and two I called the sherriff office they said it would come from your local sherriff department and u would not be called first they said to blow a whistle in their ear that would stop it and to report the # to the bbb

A few weeks ago, I was getting this EXACT same message for a man named Peter from a New Hampshire number 603-296-2286. I called this number back 4 separate occasions and told the person to remove my number from the account because that was not me. It finally stopped for a few weeks. But then 2 days ago I got the call from this number with the same message as before but now for a different woman named Elsie. I just called them and made them remove my number again, but I'm not sure how long it will last until I get this same call coming from a different number. So annoying! Wish I knew how to make whoever these people are stop!

Okay day 3  still getting a call from this number 612-354-4073 & right after this one another call from 518-291-5055  Carrier was to block this number.. It didn't work... Grrrr

This number has called my phone for someone else with threats just like many callers have mention. When I call back to the number and tell them to cease all calls I was informed that it was a law office and they don't make outgoing calls. Such lies!!! How else did I get your number?? I informed them if I received another call I would file suit against them and their employers. What they are doing is illegal!!

The same message everyone described (hard to understand, automated mixed with human voice, charges being filed for fraudulant activity, etc.) was left on my parent's home voicemail yesterday. My dad was freaked out. I listened to the message and it sounded highly suspicious. I was afraid that scam artisits were trying to target my elderly parents. My dad called the number, gave them the case number then placed it on speaker so I could hear as I sat nearby. We had already discussed how my dad would share no information; so when the man asked "For verification purposed who am I speaking with?" My dad responded, "Well sir, who did you call my house to speak with?" The man said Shanel Carrigan. My dad told the man, "there is no one by that name at this number." The man then said, "I'm sorry." then hung up.
I get to work today and there is voicemail message from yesterday by the same number saying the same thing. I called the the number back and said, "Hi, I'm returning a voicemail." I purposely gave no information (no name, no case number, nothing!). The man who answered the phone was different than the person that answered the phone yesterday when my dad called. He put me on hold for about a minute then came back and said, "Yes, we're looking for Shanel Carrigan." I said, "There is no Shanel Carrigan at this number." He then replied, "I'm sorry ma'am, this number was listed as an alternate number, our records will be updated." He never once asked for a case number or any informaiton.
Interesting though, I don't know a Shanel Carrigan. And it's weird that someone would have my office number and my parent's number. I haven't lived there in years.

I tried to call the number that called me back...said the number is a non working number.

I recd a message on my cellphone & home phone Oct 1st. The recording stated the name twice of whom they were calling. The name is far off from my name.
SCAM   I dont commit fraud to begin with   It ws garbled Couldnt understand the company  when I called back and put the ext of 4073 it rings and staed another ext # isnt avaiable after beep  I left a msg.

i just received the same call you did at 9 pm tonight, a recording. Said the same thing yours said but a different case # also from same telephone #. I had to listen to it over as well garbled something like lagretta something. quite shocking to me as well and started looking up this number.

I received the same call and tried to call them but didn't get an answer. I'm changing my passwords because I've heard if you return the call they can access your phone. Anyway, this is probably bs but I'm doing it anyway.

I just receive a message from unknown caller saying they have 2 fraudulent charges against a social security number, (they did not identify my name or my husbands name) they said to avoid being served a summons at my place of work or at my home I was to call 612-354-4073 legal dept. ref number QP13010.

This number called me today and didn't say who they were looking for just there was some fraudulent activity committed and I needed to call this number back . I don't owe anyone amy money especially for fraudulent activities. I think this is a scam artist trying to swindle money from me. Can you say BLOCK

Got a call from this number a few minutes ago. An automated voice gave someone else's name and said that legal action was going to come against (him) due to some "fraudulent activity" and that I needed to call their phone number back and give them a code (which the recording spoke). Total b***s*** scam. Result: ignore.
