December 30, 2011.  I just got a call from 616-988-8910.  A man on the other end of the line said he was calling about DTE.  I told him I didn't have DTE and asked who was calling.  He then, nervously, said he was calling about Consumers/DTE.  I demanded his name and asked him the name of the company, address, and phone number from the company with whom he worked and told him I would call him back.  He was silent. I told him that if he could not give me this information then he was lying to me (which I knew to be true anyway since I have neither DTE nor Consumers).  He immediately hung up the the phone.  I called the number back (it appeared on my caller ID as Grand Rapids, MI) and got a strange sounding recording about the operator's being busy and to leave a message.  The recording never identified the company and sounded like a hack job.  Seems like a big scam to me.

21 SEPT 2011   I just took a call from this number;  it is out of Grand Rapids, Michigan.  A rep named Scott advised me of potential gas savings from Consumers Energy...He asked to have some numbers off my utility bill - I responded, "Scott I think we have a conflict of interest here, because I work for Consumers Energy, and am very happy the way it is now - no thanks"  Ithen asked him who he worked for, he said for Consumers Customer Care....and that I was eligible for savings..he needed to see the numbers; i gave him erroneous data...he then said he had a confirmation number for me, & that another dept would come on line...the line went dead...period . I called back the number, fast busy......don't waste your time on this fraud sham operation!!!

They call here and don't leave message. I am tired of them calling wished they would stop, I don't give a damn who they are they just need to stop.

Just got a call from the same number and about savings on my gas bill.Is it dangerous?

Just got a call from this number & didnt answer. Then called back and got a message machine where I left my phone number and asked to be added to the do not call list. We'll see.

2 Days in a row. I was polite and listened to them try to sell me energy and then  they hung up on me when I told them I am not giving them my information for my gas bill.call back and their Mailbox is full. DO NOT ANSWER.
