I have had lots of annoying calls from Competitive Edge surveys 619-955-8605 and although I told them I do not do surveys, they kept calling until I blocked them. Right after I did this, I got a NAME NOT FOUND 619-000-0000 call. Don't know if they are related or not, but it's a funny coincidence.

Annoying anonymous calls

I want to know if any of you who have reported the calls from "Unknown Caller" or " name Unavailble" but showing the fake phone number 619-000-000 also had anyone door-to-door try to sell you books or magazines during that same period of time.  If you had, post it.  I am convinced that these calls are from criminals who are trying to a) get information from you bit by bit, and/or b) trying to find out when your are home or out of the house.  This happened to me.  There are some really low-lifes (criminals!) out there.

Received two calls today from 619-000-0000.  Didn't answer either time.  No message or anything...

I got a call from this number but it said San Diego area with the 0's.  It sounded as if they were calling from another country.  He asked for me by name, Michele, then sang the song Michele my bell, then the call was lost.  He sounded American,  Haven't had a call back so it is still a mystery.  I Tell people the song so they can remember my name...hmmmm

I received a robocall from this number telling me that The American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars, and Disabled Veterans of America all support a ballot proposition in the upcoming election.  This is total B.S.
The only thing they all support is OBAMA MUST GO!!!!

I too recieved a call from this number today 10-21-12 @1:20pm. They did not leave a message.
Would like to know who is calling. I am on the do not call list.

I just got a call from that number but didnt answer.  No message left on my cell phone.  Good info Richard thks.  I want them to call me back now I'll turn the tables on them ask them who they, where their from.  Ask them some bogus SD questions like - Hey did you get caught in that downpour today?  Of course Ill have to make sure we didnt have any rain that day.  lol!  so I can see if they are from around here but like you said its likely they are spoofing that number and calling from a call center somewhere.  Ok so if they call me back its going to be a prank on them - Ill update if I get any details lol!

Received (619) 000-0000 call at 8:02 PM, PDT 10/17/12 on my wire line. It went to voice mail, no message. Obviously a spoofed number from someone who doesn't want to be identified or traced. This would be from San Diego, CA except that it is an impossible number. (619) is a nearby call for me but as it's spoofed it could be from anywhere, even India or Nigeria for example.

An earlier report, from "Bug Off", says they used (619) 555-1000, also an impossible number. "555" is reserved for telephone company use. You may have seen this prefix in movies or TV dramas. By using 555
the producers won't ever wind up using an actual telephone subscriber's number, and getting sued for it.

I'd like to know who these scammers are, and will follow this thread to see if you find out. Even if they are surveys, charities or politicians it is still illeagal to use a false caller ID. They should be reported if we only knew who they are and/or what their real number is.

ps: They called again, just while I was typing this message, only 30 minutes later!

I missed a call from this number on 10/12/2012 at 5:57 PM PDT, I intend to investigate further.

For the past week I have received 2 phone calls a day from this number. No voicemail and I'm not going to answer. This is getting really annoying though and I don't know how to make it stop unless I answer. So I'll just continue to ignore it.

I am on do not call list. i do not know who this is and have never done business with them. this number calls daily and sometimes twice a day. caller id says 619-000-000. Of courSe i am not going to answer any 000-0000 Number!!! they never leave message. they call on my cell and it is unlisted. 6 calls so far...

This number has called two of our phones several times over the last 48 hours.

Don't care who it is. Lady repeating hello on voicemail several times with lots of busy background noise.

These people should realize 000 0000 is a big red flag. They call me twice but I did not answer and never will answer a number like that. I have noticed that the calls for people doing surveys is increasing..

Who can I call to complain to about these annoying and persisting phone calls?

I have received 4 phone calls from this number in the past 2 hours. I did not answer their calls and they left no messages. I am also on the DO NOT CALL registry. They are annoying and it's making me angry.

I received two call from this number yesterday during my work, the first call I didn't answer and it leave no any message, I answerd the second call and a man speaking up and saying to do research or something, I don't care whatever he says just yell him that I don't have any interesting to do any research or survey and stuff and never call me again! And that's a strange number too.

Caller ID says "unavailable."  Number is my local area code "619" with the 7 digits all zeros.  Caller, a woman's voice, asked for me by my first name, but my first name is in the telephone book.  Lots of feedback noise on the call [listened through call screening].  Did not pickup.

This number has been calling us for a few days, but they never leave a message and there is no way to call them back to ask what they need. The caller ID displays a bunch of zeros & number unavailable.

I am on no-call list.  Carpet cleaning (and more) offer with same message left on ans. machine again today (about 2:45pm) using #619-000-0000.  On 9/7/07 the number shown was #619-555-1000.
