I received a call from this number.  They hung up when the answering machine picked up.

same call from from Alpine CA was about to send me some Cantor's money. I hung up. Is that some terrorist group searching for Jewish victims by last name or just scam?

This guy from "Shining Lies" called me and asked me if i was jewish, with a weird accent

Phone rang with ID:  "PRIVATE NAME" and this number---619-324-7730, as soon as my ans message started, it hung up. Weird!  My DNA happens to be Jewish, but not obvious, who knows, probably a scam.

Tonight the caller was saying that Mr. Cantor wants to give a gift to the Jewish people of my city. He asked me with his thick accent if I was Jewish. When I asked him why he repeated that there was a gift, a book, that Mr. Cantor wanted to send me. I hung up. Weird.

Same type of call received this evening as described by Freddy and EH.....but months apart.  Are they targeting only Jewish households for a scam or are they attempting to identify which households are Jewish for another purpose?  Very odd......

I just got the same call--thick accent wanted to verify this was a jewish household when I told him it was not he thanked me & hung up.  What is that about???

Got a call from this number wanting to know if I was Jewish because they wanted to send me money.  When I informed them I was not jewish the person thanked me and hung up.   I used my redial to the last number which is the above number and a person answered but says he just got home and did not call me.   It sounded like the guy that called without an accent.
