Just got a call 4:21 p.m. on a Sunday!! from YPR.  Left a robo msg that said "Hello, this is a service verification.  We will call you back later."   Call came form 801-839-7364.

This is f****ng b***s*** that this company can keep harassing us electronically in this way!

That number just called me, I didn't answer because I didn't recognize the number.

I live in Oregon and have gotten three calls in the past HOUR!  I just found that if you are on the Do Not Call list for at least 31 days, you may file a complaint against this company/phone number at:

This caller calls our home 3-6 times daily.  At all hours but never after 11 pm.  My husband and I work night shift and need to sleep during day hours and we are on the do not call list.  Somebody please stop them...how many people have to report this crap before something is done?

Yeah the same thing happened to me.  This can't be coincidence.  I don't get the calls as frequently as some people here have reported but it's still quite annoying.  I've only had this digital phone service two months and most people still contact me on my mobile phone so when the phone rings I am naturally assuming it's someone I'm expecting....NOT.  

Someone else posted that they thought it might be a regional thing.  Not so, I'm living in the midwest and getting this annoying calls as well.  They usually call late afternoon until about 8pm Central Time.  VERY ANNOYING!!!

What good is the Do Not Call list if you still get unwanted calls?

They call me every singe day. Every hour! I called yellow pages..ITS NOT THEM! The rep told me they will always have a HUMAN talk to you and that the 626 area code IS NOT theirs.

Here in Tampa Florida, we keep getting all the people calling us yelling ans screaming to stop calling them, but it is not us!  When you hit redial, it does not log the (1) at the beginning, and our number is 813-626-2132.  If you call back the number, and you are in the Tampabay area, you will get our business, not the people who keep calling you.  This is really bad for us because we are getting about 50 to 70 calls a Day from really pissed off people.  PLEASE STOP SCREAMING AT US, IT IS NOT US CALLING, AND WE ARE REALLY TIRED OF THE PHONE CALLS TOO.

This keeps calling 3-4 times a day 7 days a week.  My husband and I are night shift workers and family and friends know better than to bother us during day time hours so we can sleep.  There is never an answer at the other end and if you call it back it is busy...I want this to stop now

Me too, this started a week ago, then reading this thread I am seeing a common theme.  I just switched over to Comcast Digital Voice.  When setting up my Comcast voice mail, I also called a number in the Comcast kit that came with Digital Voice that was a number you are suppose to call to get you on the "NO CALL LIST".  This all started just after I called this number and entered my number to be on the NO CALL LIST.  Now I'm getting calls every other day from YPR.  If answered, no one talks.  Thanks Comcast for providing a number to get on a NO CALL LIST, and now I'm getting idiotic calls every other day from YPR.  Idiots.  Comcast idiots, or Comcast scam.  What pathetic turds.

I had been receiving these very annoying calls for several weeks (2 to 3 times a day).  The calls stopped for about 1 week, but started back up again yesterday afternoon (10/11/07).  I answered the call yesterday when the phone rang, and waited about 30 seconds, and a recording came on the line.  The recording said "This is a verification call from Yellow Pages Opinion Research 626-213-2508" and then the call disconnected.

I cannot stand this.  It's obviously a scam.  I called
Comcast to try to resolve and of course I'm on hold with them forever.

same deal -- 626-213-2508 YPR  calls 6, 7, 8 times each day, 7 days a week, all hours, nobody responds when I answer.  I left a message with their legal dept. and said I would report harassment if they call again. I then pressed the number for customer service -- guess what -- the legal department and the customer service number are both Ms. Nolan!  I should try the other extensions, but don't want to waste my time.

I have a new home line with Verizon and also started getting calls several times a day - so ANNOYING! In Pittsburgh, PA.
When I answer it's a recorded message saying somethign like....This is Yellow Pages Research verifying information...or something along those lines and then it disconnects.
I'm afraid to call them back, so I haven't tried it yet, but I will.

I get a call twice a day from this farkin' number.  I just called it back and you can have your number removed.  Let's see if it actually works. If not, I'm determined to get to the bottom of this farkin' genius of an A-hole that thinks it's amusing to wake a sleeping baby way past 8P.  By the way, this started when we got a new phone number because another farkin' genius kept calling despite our number being put on the do not call list.

recently got a new home phone service from comcast. do not know if that has anything to do with it but it really is annoying . they call two to three times a day. I haven't called it back kind of worried about it.it has happened since I got a house phone. its really weird.

Two calls within 12 hrs.  No response when you answer.  Only silence.  Anyone know who or what this is?

Probably trying to see if your phone number is active and than sell it to other telemarketers "research" "marketing" companies.

I've been getting calls from this number for about a month, two or three times a day 7 days a week. When I answer (usually only after one or two rings) no one responds and after about 15 seconds the line cuts out. I've called the number back several times and have gotten "THe number you have dialed is not in service" a few times, but also one time I got routed to a Ford Dealership in the Harrisburg are (where I live). They said they've been getting a lot of calls about people asking why they keep getting calls, but that they're not making the calls and suspect it to be a telemarketing scam.

Same Deal, received a call from YPR.....I rarely answer it until I finally got fed up today.  I was getting the calls from those damn pigs looking for money too but those have stopped.  Very strange. Every time I call the number back I get a different outcome.  I've gotten the busy signal, a message stating I will be removed if I type in my number and some automatic message center.  Please help me stop this!!!!!!!!!

Call the number back type in your phone number including area code wait for the okay then press 1 to confirm.

Just moved and received new phone service and that is when the calls started. I do not answer calls I do not know the numbers too but they keep calling back about 3 or 4 times a day, 7 days a week. It is getting very annoying, espically when my 2 yr old is taking a nap. Someone needs to figure out what we can do to stop these calls.

yeah some man called back saying he was a cop and they looking for donations to support the cops that are dead and some s*** like that. you have to buy a sticker for your car and s*** like that.

YPR  has called every day since we got this new phone no. the answering machine picks up and they do not leave any message.when we call back, a recording stating that it is customer service, no indentification of who they are , just saying that if we do not enter the phone no. we will not be removed from their call list.
this is annoying. what can be done about this?? who are they??

It is Yellow Pages Research.  If you recently got a new phone number, they will bother you to ask you questions.  Since they technically aren't telemarketing, they can call you.  They are no less annoying though.
