I've gotten numerous (seven to be exact) calls from this # asking me to lower my interest rate on my credit card. I can't get any real company information from the person on the other line and every time I ask to be removed from their calling list, they hang up on me before I can even finish my sentence. I've called the number back and it automatically asks, "If you would like to be removed from our calling list...please press #1 to be removed within 72 hours" Well, I did that over a week ago and am still receiving calls. Anyone have any more info on this company?

Called and pre-recorded message; I listened to the end and it was terminated (on their end). Some cardholder services asking to lower my interest rates. SCAM all the way. I dont own a single CC.

I received a call from this number and after reading these reports I decided to contact the local government where the call originates: Alhambra, California. I reported it as a nuisance number, reminded them that unsolicited calls from a telemarketer are illegal, and informed them that if the calls did not stop I would continue email correspondence. If this correspondence fails to stop the calling I promised to begin calling their local government offices regularly. I advise everyone receiving calls from this number to do the same. Perhaps some pressure on our parts will cause some action on their end.
Cheers

I pressed the button to talk to an agent, and was put on hold again. The agent asked me to verify my first name. I said, "could you please let me know what company you work for". THEY THEN HUNG UP IMMEDIATELY!! Chicken $%^%$ scam artists!

The call came to my cell phone, which is a pay as you go phone...if I don't know the number calling, I don't answer. They didn't leave a message. But after reading other comments made about getting calls from this number, I'm glad I didn't answer

SCAM. Calls to my cell.
Do not answer, it validates your number for more calls.

Upon answering, you get a recorded message that says something like "this is regarding your current credit card account. You are elligible to lower your interest rate to as low as 6%. This will be your final notice and time is running out. Press 1 to be connected to a representative..." blah blah blah. then it hangs up.
Problem #1: They did not say the name of the company at ALL. Obviously a scheme...They assume whoever answers the phone has at least one credit card. They hope you will take the bait and think it is YOUR bank trying to contact you, and call them back.
Problem #2: They did not say "press 2 or 9" or whatever "if you no longer wish to be contacted by our company." Isn't this required by law now???
So this is obviously a scam and easily avoided, but I don't like these companies even ATTEMPTING to trick me. I also don't like the fact that I have to turn around and take time out of my day to CALL THEM BACK to have my name removed from their list, which it shouldn't be on to begin with. This kind of business "ethic" really cheeses me off, and I hate that our government is not putting a stop to it.
P.S. When you call back, you get a recording (still doesn't give you the name of the company) that immediately says "If you would like to be removed from our marketing list, please press 1." Apparantly if you call them back because you were actually interested in lowering your interest rate (tard) you would be S.O.L.

Returned call and asked if wanted to be removed from phone listings. Supposed business listings only.
