I got the same email, I did reply to a couple of job postings..This is not the first scam to use Craigslist.  I have been reporting to craigslist legal department and also filing reports with the FTC.  Go to www.FTCComplaintAssistant.gov to make your report.  This more than likely is a pirated email used and probably not even the real name of the person wanting this info.  The more reports made the better.  In your FTC Complaint, make sure you put the name used and the email used, since they will differ.  I am also putting the same info to Craigslist, along with my FTC Report#.

I hate these people so much. I know how hard it is to get a job, but I don't scam people. This Lisa lady email wouldn't go through anytime which was odd. They didn't give out a company name which was odd. Also they didn't tell me the name of the job, hmm? Also odd. But I was desperate of course I didn't have no money on my card so it didn't go through. But they still had my information, which I filed a fraud report as soon as I could. I had applied to clerical jobs in my town in person so that's why I thought this was real, from them maybe. But it was just poor delinquent trash.

I too, got these same emails after replying to a Craigslist job ad.   I realized it was a scam once they asked for the credit check, but I'm still concerned that I had emailed them my resume.   I did an IP check, and the first email came from Dallas Tx and the last two came from Louisianna.  
It worries me that they have my name and address and work history.  Never again will I use Craigslist to look for a job.  It's not worth this aggravation.

NO company name listed, no address, no information about who the sender is, but they want me to give them my credit report!! And have the audacity to end by saying, don't email us your results, just bring your hard copy with you!! REALLY?!?!? My background is HR, and I can tell you now, that you have to physically sign any forms authorizing access to ANY background screenings, whether it be drug screen, criminal background AND ESPECIALLY financial, so they have proof that you authorized that employer access to YOUR information! You typically also, physically need to provide some form of identification, such as driver's license, social security card, or birth certificate. THIS IS ABSOLUTELY A SCAM! And what's worse, is that I didn't even include my resume when I responded to the postings on Craigslist, so I know for fact that, the only thing that got reviewed, was my email address!! ********** SCAM SCAM SCAM!! ********** Mine also was from "Dennis Stonge" as well as "Lisa Lewis lislewishr@hotmail.com" - with the exact same form letter as the one below, and can I just point out that it's a "HOTMAIL ACCOUNT"!! No business or legitimate company or corporation WOULD EVER HAVE A "HOTMAIL ACCOUNT"!!!  The third culprit is an email from "Adela Grace grace@gsbglobalsourcing.com" -I've copied ALL 3 emails I received below. I applied for an Office Administrative job. The job was posted on craigslist by this company. They responded with an email stating I needed to do a credit report offered by their company in order to be considered for the job. I did research and found out it is a telemarketer looking for personal information in order to market to me.

I got an email that was exactly the same as the previous people, except it was signed Patrick Morris. The link redirected about 3-4 times and landed me to a free credit report site. Its most definitely a phishing scam to get SSN #'s and credit card information. DO NOT FALL FOR THIS!!!

WOW! dang ya my email had the same information but as well was signed by Timothy Ward! Crazy thinking they wanted you to get a credit check before a job....

My email was the exact same as Lauren's EXCEPT the letter was "signed" by Timothy Ward.  Sheesh!  It makes me sad that there are people out there looking for work who would be duped and get ripped off.  I have found these past several weeks looking for jobs on Craig's list that NONE I have responded to are legitimate.

SCAM!!!!! There on Craigslist posting fake job postings. They must b really dumb to think someone's gonna believe a place of employment needs a credit check. Dumbasses.

Hours: 9:00 AM ? 5:00 PM
Pay: $13 - $16 an hour
