These guys have been calling me for a couple of years.  At first they had me and I paid (lots of money!!) and then someone told me not to pay - that this is scam.  No one will come and arrest me.  It got so bad I finally went to one of the big executives and told them what was going on, that I was afraid I would lose my job.  He told not to worry to transfer the call to him, he would take care of it.  But everything I tried they would hang up and then call me back.  My coworkers would tell them to stop calling, they were on a recorded line.  Finally it stopped.  But every now and again I get a call (like now) and sometimes they just keep calling for a few weeks and then it stops.  
I just want to get it out there for people not to pay them like I did!!! They are scan artists!!  and if we keep paying then they will keep calling!

But they never tell you what law firm or company they are with, they always say the Attorney General Office (sometimes they give a state).  But that is bogus!

REPORTED BIG TIME!!!!

I just received a call from this number.  He was barely understandable.  He stated that he was from the Atty Generals Office and that I needed to send them an unspecified amount of money or I would be arrested!   Several things about this....First Debt collectors are not ALLOWED by law to pretend that the are any type of law enforcement, Second there has not been a debtors prison since before the civil war, the only legal thing they can do is file in a civil court.  And a constable will serve you with the paper work.  They use this as a scare tactic.

I got this call today---these Korean guys have been harassing me off and on for months.  Can barely understand them. I told them to Cease and Desist and to put everything in writing ( a legit collection guy told me to do this).  The guy got mad and said I would be arrested tomorrow.  I called the attorney general's office to report them. I was told probably no one would be coming to my office but if they do, I need to call the police. I also went on line to the consumer financial protection bureau.  www.consumerfinancial.gov.  I put in a formal complaint.  They can't investigate tho until I give them the bogus co's. name---I have their phone no. but no name.  The Korean guys never saywho they are.  Does anyone have a co. name for these crooks?
