Just got the scam message myself.  Replying to my craigslist ad.

Just received a text from this number in response to an ad on Craigslist.  It's a scam!

Trying to sell a truck Scam text wanting paypal info

Sent me text messages last night and again this morning responding to Craigslist ad, still scamming as of August 31, 2013.

347am got a response to my craigslist from this one. Jerk

They contacted us by text also about a boat for sale that we listed on craigslist 3 days ago. You can tell that they dont speak (or text) like an American.

this person is trying to buy my motorcycle now.i just responded cash only, no Paypal. they are sending text messages. they don't use American sentence structure.....

hes still at it. phone number is ny area code...not that matters becauee with these apps nowadays you can spoof text with any number you want. he gave me a nigeria address....i know he's scamming...so ill play along...he isn lt american because his english isnt very good.

Received the typical scam via two texts. Anybody who wants your Paypal info is a scammer!!! I informed them to call as the ad says and kept texting so I advised them I was aware of their scam and they dropped the f bomb twice. The broken English style is a dead giveaway! I've turned their number over the the government!!! I don't appreciate the f bomb !!!!

got this text for my craigslist add and knew it was a scam, but googled the number anyways.

They called me about my ad on craigslist. They sent me multiple fake pay pal emails and tried to scam me out of 900 dollars and when i tried to back out they threatened to call the FBI on me. They are a joke, but somewhat smart be careful, but don't be scared of them involving the police because they are trying to play you. Also do not send them any contact information name anything it is not worth it.

text message trying to buy a car on craigslist wanted to use paypal

This person just texted me several times about a car I had for sale. I texted back and told him to call because my Husband doesn't text. They text back and said they were offshore and couldn't call. But wanted to buy the car right now with pay pal so i looked up the number thanks everyone!!

Yup tried it with my dad also. He was trying to sell a bike on CL.
This person texts and says he likes the bike and wants to pay with it using pay pal.
I thought something wasn't right, so I googled his number and up comes this page.

Same here. Just got a text about my ad on cl thank god u guys are on here telling about this scammer!

FYI:  these people are still out there doing the Craig's list text message scam. Contacted me after I posted an ad for a collector car. In Georgia, we feed these people to the hogs.

just got texts from this guy too for an ipad 3 that I'm selling. He offered me more than the amount of sale and was pushy with my paypal info. I then decided to google his number first. Thanks for saving me!

This number keeps texting after me finding out that its a scam and
is trying to get me to send my items to nigeria when paypal  clearly
told me, they dont do business with nigeria.

just got his text too...trying to sell a PS3 Move bundle offering me more money then what I posted it for.  What an a***ole.

Guys, I just looked up this number. And I want to thank you for letting me know this. This person must have nothing better to do. He is trying to get me.
