I was trying to rent a timeshare through vacationrentals.com for the Hilton Hawaiian Village and got in touch with "Steve Walker". Things seemed fishy when his address said he lived in Massachusetts but his phone number shows Las Vegas! I then googled him and found this page. Buyer beware.

I also tried to rent a timeshare through him. I responded to offers on several websites and he could not verify which one, or which ad number it was. When I rent timeshares, I will call the resort first to verify the unit is in my name.When he called me back and I told him the resort had no information on me, he said he will make the reservation after I send payment. I have rented my timeshares and rented from others for years and this is not the way the transaction should be. First the person renting the unit should confirm with the resort that the unit is in fact in his or her name, then the payment should be sent. The resort doesn't care when the payment is sent. They already have the yearly maintenance fees paid to them before the reservation can be made. FRAUD FRAUD FRAUD

AKSED ME FOR A WIRE TRANSFER ALSO BUT I REFUSED SO SENT ME BOGUS PAYPAL ACCOUNT INFO AFTER EMAILING ME A CONTRACT FROM THE HILTON GRAND VACATIONS. WHEN I TOLD THEM I COULD NOT SEND MONEY WITH OUT CONFIRMATION # FROM HILTON OF RESERVATIONS HE SAID NOT TO WORRY HE WOULD BE MEETING US ON THE PROPERY TO HELP CHECK US IN. i STILL WANTED A CONFIRM STILL ASKED FOR VERIFICATION FROM HILTON FOR RESERVATION AND HE COULD NOT PRODUCE IT. SO THEN I REVER NUMBER LOOKED UP THE PHONE NUMBER HER PROVIDED AND FOUND THIS PAGE WITH YOUR COMMENTS. CONTARACT SAID HE WAS FROM KINGSTON NEW YORK BUT PHONE NUMBER IS LAS VEGAS.

WE WERE TRING TO RENT FROM STEVE WALKER WHOM WE VERIFIED DOES OWN A CONDO AT KINGS LAND HILTON HAWAII, HOW EVERY OUR PAYPAL WAS RETURNED AS FRAUDULANT AND NOW HE IS ASKING FOR A NEW PAYMENT, HOW EVER CAN'T PROVIDE ME WITH A CONFIRMATION OF RESERVATIONS. VERY FISHY THINK WE WOULD REATHER SLEEP IN HAMACOCKS BEFORE BEING OUT THE $$$$$ .
