I have gotten to the point now that I don't bother to answer these calls. If I don't pick up after4 rings they hang up anyway or I just pick the phone up click on then off. That really pisses them off!!!!!!

I talked to my local phone company regarding this subject of unacceptable behavior, and if it's threatening, it's a Police matter, and if it's dirty language and abusive, it's a different category, and a restraining order might be possible, or legal action may be possible.

Unfortunately recorded messages don't work for this. If it were a real person at the end it might be worth a try but I'm not going to press 1 to waste my time!

Received calls for the last year or longer.  At first, I tried to be nice and ask them to remove my number from the call list.  This didn't work.  I also filed several complaints with the FTC.  This didn't work.  For the last few months when they call, I simply tell them to kiss my @#$.  Sometime they hang up and other times the call get really ugly.  A call came in last night about 8:45 PM.  A real $#@& head.  We shouted bad words at each other for about 25/30 minutes.  When i think about this, it is an absolute shame that these people are allowed to violate both federal and state laws with any punishment.  What good is the FTC and related state agencies if they can't stop this.  AT&T is my local and long distance carrier.  I have had several discussions with they as to why my call blocking can't stop this.  They don't seem to have an answer.  Until I can find an answer, I will continue telling these feebleminded MORONS to kiss my @#$.

Got a call 3 mins to 9PM tonight Eastern Time. I called from my cell phone and got a message from "Credit Card Services" stating that I had the option to talk to one of their CSRs or to have the number placed on a "Do Not Call" registry. I chose the Do Not Call thinking I could enter my home phone, and was instead told the number I called from would be placed in the DNC 'within 1-2 business days', almost like one of those email spam scams. Not sure how it will affect my cell phone but we shall see. Apparently they've called the number multiple times during the day and this is the first I've heard of it as my wife & kids usually delete the # and msg from the phone.

Glad I didn't take the option to talk to someone...

Called around 4pm on Thursday. Left no message. I blacklisted the number using the land line service provider, VOIPo. I just pushed *27 and they are blacklisted. No more flunkies from this number will cause my phone to ring anymore.

this automated message is re: lowering your credit card rates.  I have repeatedly pushed "9" to have our number removed from their list to no avail.  When you actually get to a live person to ask them to remove you from the calling list the hang up on you or worse.  Let me explain: so far today I have had someone named "Chuck" tell me " we're going to keep calling you until you pay off you credit cards, you f****ng c***" ( YES that is verbatium what he said) when I was trying to get there phone number from him and told him to quit calling and he realized I was not interested in their scam. Then 22 min later "Michael" called and when my mom asked what business it was of there's regarding her interest rates he aggressively stated, "YOU are the one who pushed 1" and then when she asked why don't you quit calling us...he kept repeating "you can s*** my **** until I come".  I'm filing a complaint w the BBB but have zero hope that it'll do anything.  I got out of one rep that the company is called Account Management Systems and there IS a company by this name in FL...however this 707 number is a California area code.  I really want to shut these people down...just don't know how to do it.  Ridiculous.
