got this call that I had won something. could not understand the person at all. other than I had filled out something and had won. I don't fill out anything for this very reason.

Got the same call this morning and have gotten many like it in recent weeks.  It's a scam.  They'll ask you for money.  Pass on the "free" stuff because it's not free.

they've called many times, this morning it was at 12:15 am, isn't that illegal?

Same phone call, verbatim.  Left answering machine pick up as I don't answer unless I recognize number.  Was the 708-566-5294 on May 13 at 8:58 pm.  Did not call back nor intend to!  Too many scams going on to answer the phone!

The number came up on my phone as GPM 708-801-9036.  The internet shows a listing for a Sandra Jefferson.  I also got a reverse look up on a Landline: TDS Metrocom, Inc.II, Calumet City, IL 60409. The # left on my answering machine to call toll free by Christopher was 1-866-312-9553ext109 at Vandell Comm.  Same deal as what I've been reading: you filled out an entry form , won a car, 1 of 4 top prises, time sensitive matter, etc.

You may or may not be a scammer, but you are an SOB.  You called me at 1 a.m. with your lying BS about a contest entry.  You are scum.

If you called back and I was not available without your phone number the available operator can not verify that I called you. Im not sure what other information that you where asked but verifying the caller is not a scam.

chris from vandell communications called twice from 708-801-9036 leaving messages we were winners of one of four prizes. said to return call to 866-312-9553 x 109. mistakenly returned call and they tried to mine us for information. told us that there were winners from all over the country.  told them not to call again and that were on the do not call registry. SCAMMERS

I received this exact same message word for word on 12-25-10 at 5:21 pm. However I was not at home and the machine picked up. I do not enter constests, so I will not be calling back. I am positive this is an attempt to try and get my credit card number as I am sure that one of the "major prizes" that they will be awarding me will have taxes and shipping fees and who knows what other fees attached to it as well. I am also positive that there is NO prize either. The called ID read Mitchell Communications.

I received a voice mail from Christopher at Vandell Communications.  The message says: ?Hi this is Christopher calling from Vandell Communications, I've made numerous attempts to reach you regarding an entry form that was filled out in your name in the last 12-18 months to win a new car. (This was the first call I received) This will be my final attempt to notify that your name was pulled as a winner and we are going to award you one of our top four major prizes. It will be in your best interest to give me a call back as soon as possible. My number is toll free at 1-866-312-9553, ext. 109. We're not a telemarketing agency or timeshare; this is not a cold call so please do not ignore this message.?
I called it back just to see who answered & it was a pre-recorded answering system, that identified it as Vandell Communications, followed by enter your parties ext. number now.  So I did just to see what happened next, got a voice message that said the party was away from his desk to leave my information.  I hung up & now I am posting what happened to me.
