No it's not the city. I work for the City of Houston and i received a call from this number. It was a gentleman stating that he was from out of town looking for information.

It is city of Houston.  I know who it is.  Calling back won't get you anywhere.  It's probably the main line.  Don't freak out.

It's a City of Houston number and it is a recorded message for CofH employees. Don't know why anyone out of the system would be getting a call from it.

This is a number from the City of Houston. I just missed their call and no one answered when I called the number back. I reported a critical situation going on at my apartment building this morning so I'm sure it was someone calling back to tell me what they had found out or were calling me for more information. Hopefully the person will call back.

I answered this call and he said he was from the Mayor's office at the City of Houston, calling for people that wanted information on going green.  He just wanted my email.

The number is the city of houston, for me it was about a complain i had made on the 311 number.

it is the city of houston , if you have made a report threw the 311 or 211 they will call you back and let you know what is going on, even if you called to sing up for the program to evacuate they call back to confirm.if you have not called them it may be a err or it might have to deal with some other info they may be trying to give.

i recieved this call this morning and it hung up before i could answer it, i called it back but it jus continued to ring and ring and ring, so idk about it being the city of houston but if so and you guys figure out what they want, plz by all means let me know.

I also received a call from this number. As it turns out, my niece works for the City of Houston, and this number must be the one shown on caller ID when thy return calls.

They called and left a message but didnt say who they were and from where except they will call back. Called back and the phone kept ringing.

It hung up before I could answer.  When I called back, it just rang and rang.  I looked on the net and it seems it is a City of Houston phone. What they want....I have no idea.

Ditto...May be from City Of Houston...otherwise it is a sales type call resulting from my recent purchase of car...so may be related to info being sold by lenders etc...

I called this number back, and did not receive an answer.  The phone just kept ringing.

Called the number back and the lady's name was Shirley. Calling from the Mayor's Office. Left nothing in reference to "why" she was calling. Just said she was calling for people with disablilities.
