Can you tell me how to proceed, who do I contact if I am being threatened by these people. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have been receiving calls for over two years and now they are threatening family members, I want to know were you able to prosecute, who did you contact. I need some serious help.

I have been getting calls from these people for awhile now.  They are targeting my husband.  The only difference is they are American.  One a woman and this morning a man; both American!!!   Said he is going to be at my house Monday to serve my husband a court summons unless he calls an 888 number and talks to them.  Could not tell me anything else because they are sealed documents!!! WHAT THE H*** do these people what or what are they trying to do!!!  Can't a stop be put to this!!!

It's a collection agency.

Well just like the rest of you my wife and I got the calls here in Illinois directed to me, all my info from +0000000 number to my cell. His call back number is 347-457-3022 as of 2/22/11 I will be looking into this further for prosecution!

I have received several calls from these people and I found out ut was fraud but instead of California the used Texas and then today my husband got a call for a loan that he supposedly took out in Aug of this year (fake( the number to call this James Parker back was 3474225276 watch out guys they are good at harassing you.

I received a call from these creeps last week. They left a message telling me I was being sued and she said her name was Jessica Bush but she couldn't even speak english. I called back yesterday just to check on it and htat was when I found out it was ACS lawfirm. The guy yesterday was yelling at me about a payday loan. I told him I had never had one and had the bank statements to prove it, he told me I could have used someone elses bank account. Really?? Well I called back today to try to talk to Jessica and the guy I talked to really scared me. First of all, they changed my last name yesterday to a**hole. So he kept calling me that. Then he told me that if I contacted the FBI, he would shoot them and shove a pole up their a**.
Then he told me to get a condom ready because he was coming to my house to F me hard. He has my address and my social. He also said that he was in afghanastan/

I am in Iraq and got a call from these people!  I submitted a complaint online, but how else can I report this?  Please advise.  Thanks.

look they are a scam i talk to a guy on their and he told me i was crazy they are alll in the same room dont give them any info at all i told them i wanted to pay my bill by a money order and he was like no i will pay it for you these guys or from orange county ca so if any one is their call the police they also asked me if i would have phone sex with them.. we got to stop them

I just received several phone calls from Law Firm of ACS as well...the first guy's name was 'James Wright' but obviously was middle eastern or asian...he wouldn't tell me any information or send me any documents so then fwded me to a Justin (also middle eastern)...and that tomorrow morning I will have a bunch of officers deliver papers to show up in court; apparently because I took out a loan in 2009 and never paid it back.  They're going to deliver it to an address that I haven't lived at for a long time, too...who are these people?  I owe $8000 to someone? haha.

I TOO HAVE RECEIVED SEVERAL PHONE CALLS AS ABOVE SAYING THAT A $300.00 DEPOSIT WAS MADE TO MY WACHOVIA CHECKING ACCOUNT IN 2009 FROM CASH ADVANCE USA. SCAM,SCAM BUT THE CALLER HAS MY PERSONAL INFORMATION.  (NO SUCH TRANSACTION MADE IN 2009 AND I HAVE ALL MY BANK STATEMENTS FOR 2009 .

I have been getting calls from 268-0011 and 646-328-3942 both numbers of course are a fraudulent law firm called acs and they claim i took out a payday loan for $1200 and some guy named Mark who is obviously not american was really rude and said they were taking me to court. he even had the never to ask to speak to my mother. i hung up the phone and immediately tried to find the law firm and too my surprise found this site instead. i put the fraud alert on my credit report and then called the guy and told him i called the police and that he needs to get a job instead of trying to scam people out of money.

I have been receiving calls from acs for months now.  a guy with a thick accent named "kevin foster" threatened to send officers to my house to pick me up for not paying them.  they said they put $300 in my account and never paid them back so now the charge is for $649. they also have the last 4 of my ss# my mothers name and my former address. i called a couple attorneys and they said just not to pick up the phone from any numbers in cali that i did not know. the last number from "asc" that i have is 1909-744-5418.

I just got a call from an Andrew Johnson "from ACS". He said that it was very important to call back before court papers were filed. He didn't have an accent but I guess that easy to fake. The number was from Williamsville, NY.

These peole are leaving threats saying that they are attorney and to have my attorney call them and don't disregard the call and if I do I will be haveing officers coming to my home. They called my job and my mother I told her to save the voicemails from them on her phone. They said that a company called "Quick Cash" told them that I took moneies from them, I spoke to a Brian and a Karen and the receptionist all had different accicents. They wanted my personnal information to look up this so call case on me but I refuse and kept asking them who are you and where are you located and they kept hanging up sometime they wounldn't pick up the phone. The number they kept call from is 909 744-5418.

Omg WFT is going on I received the same call to from this ACS firm from this guy useing this 909 744-5418 and everytime I called I kept asking them how and where they located they kept hanging up.  They would not tell the client name them I ask for a phone number and I was refuse that as well.  Seriouslly who r these people why r they doing this.

yes i just received a call from a guy named steve werner with a heavy accent really hard to understand. well about 6 months ago i got a call from mike anderson same accent and everything so yes everyone this is a scam so becarefull

I received a call today from a man with broken english named Mr Wilson. He stated he was with a law firm that has received paper work aganist me due to a loan thta i took out. The number he left is 646-783-4929 and states that he has my ss# and bank info.  He told me that it was due to a payday loan I received and never paid back but could not give me a date or amount. When I stated I had not received a loan he called me a liar and told me to just send him the money to make all this go away.

I have notified the 3 credit bureaus's as well as the attorney general and my bank. All I can hope is that if I keep ignoring thier calls and take the right steps this will go away.

I have received NUMEROUS calls regarding this same issue. The first time it was a Mike Robinson (with a middle eastern/foreign accent!!!) and this time it's Chi Robinson.  The number they are leaving now is 408-688-5301.
AND they are saying "If you don't return this call, then good luck".  Somehow they have gotten ahold of my work phone # and now are leaving messages there as well as on my cell phone.
I've filed fraud alerts on all 3 credit bureaus's and also reported to the attorney general.  I've also notified my bank as they had my bank account numbers as well.

i have just recived a call today his name is now daniel buch what a gay retarted name any ways the number is 626 569 7487 said i owe 760 dollars to them from a payday loan and was called cash advance anyways he said im going to have 2 officers come to my house tomarow and it will be 5500 to get this all settled its all bull s*** and im working on trying to get his a** sewed.....

I have been getting calls, normally 1 to 2 a week from a different # than the 714 #. The number that calls me is from a cell phone in Maryland.  The people sound like they are from Nigeria.  They also say I took out a payday loan on line and did not pay it back.  They have the last 4 digits of my social security # and the name of my bank.  Today they said that I was going to be prosecutied for internet fraud and that I will be arrested by Federal agents on Monday.  I knew it was a scam when they first started calling and reported them to my bank, the attorney general's office and put a fraud alert to the credit bureaus.. When they call my caller id shows "unknown caller". I am going to contact the phone company and see if I can block "unknown caller" calls.  These people do not give up.

For a long time I could not figure out how they got so much information on me, but I did try to apply for a small loan online but did not take one out and these people must be linked to these sites somehow. I am just not going to answer the calls anymore and hope it stops eventually.

i too have recived a threating phone call at my work said that if i don't send him a certain amount of money by today i will be arrested by 11am tommorrow he said he was form flordia but could'nt give me his address where he works his name is David Parker and works for the law ferm of ACS he also speeks with an accent he also gave me a fax number to wire him some money and a call back number his call back doesn't work what can i do

I have been receiving calls saying I committed bank fraud. I did have some payday loans, but I chose to include them in my Chapter 13. I got a call yesterday from a ACS Law firm. he is a middle eastern person. I couldn't understand his name. The telephone number he left was 914-930-3200 from New York. According to white pages, it is a landline in Peekskill NY. He claims to know my social security number, employer, etc. That is scary. He said that if I would agree to pay 3,000, it would go away. The loan I got was only 200.00. I have filed numerous complaints with FTC, Attorney General's office and nothing is done. Help

Hey, I just got a call, this number was 052 497 347, the guy said his name was peter jones, but he spoke broken english and was definitely middle eastern. the phone number he gave me to call him back was 347 289 3905. he couldnt answer any of my questions, all he kept telling me is his name and he was filing a lawsuit against my name, i caught him slipping, when he then said he was a loan shak when i cornered him. dont pay these guys no mind, bunch of scam artists.

Scam alert: Bogus debt collectors

This scam isn't technically about credit cards, but it is scary enough to post a warning. The Better Business Bureau issued an alert today saying consumers across the country are getting phone calls from bogus debt collectors claiming default on a payday loan. Of course, the consumer needs to pay a large fee to avoid arrest -- as much as $1,000.
The caller poses as a lawyer, and may threaten extradition to face trial if the consumer doesn't pay up immediately.
What makes these calls alarming -- and perhaps convincing -- is that the perpetrators reference the consumer's personal information, such as the person's Social Security number, driver's license number, previous bank account numbers, home address -- even personal references.
"The amount of information they have is really troubling," says BBB spokeswoman Alison Southwick. She adds that the amount of data points to a possible security breach.
Spread the word to your friends and family: Don't give out personal or financial information to an unknown caller. Scammers can spoof Caller ID to display different numbers, so trust your instincts over technology.
The BBB offers these tips:
?    Ask the debt collector to provide official documentation which substantiates the debt.
?    Do not provide or confirm any bank account, credit card or other personal information over the phone until you have confirmed the legitimacy of the call.
?    File a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission online if the caller is abusive, uses threats or otherwise violates federal telemarketing laws or the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.
?    File a complaint with the Better Business Bureau online if you believe a debt collector is trying to scam you.

"ACS" Law firm is now contacting me as well saying that I took a pay day loan (of which I never did), they are incredibly rude and threatening.  They also have my last 4 of my SSN and my bank acct # as well.  I have contacted the local authorities and urge you all to do the same!!  The are using the phone # 716-442-2824 when contacting me, thick accents and also using names like "Mike Jones" and "Alex Johnson"

I just experience this i found it to be crazy he told me I would be facing crimianl charges. He aslo told me to have a lawyer and the was giving me a opt. to pay all lawyer fees i found that to be crazy. well im glad to know it was a scam!
