I got a call from 714-929-2044 and they asked for me by name but I didn't know what the call was for so I told them they had the wrong number.

Called - left no message.

They called ask was this "my name," and said this is not a sales called and hung up.

who or what are they

This number called and I didnt answer and then they called back w/ an unknown number and asked for me by name, I said shes not available can I take a message and they said no message. Had an accent--but I dont who it was.

This is a courtesy call from Rent.com that they give you about a month after you sign up on their website, they want to know if you found your new place using their site and if so they send you a $100 Visa/Mastercard gift card. This is not a scam, I found my apartment using their site last year and I paid my first utility bill with the money they gave me.

This was a male saying he was from goolge. Very rude
left a name fred lucas probably some fake name.

Another call from Rent.com

I had the same thing happen to me today.

It was Rent.com calling to ask if i rented an apartment using information listed on their web site.

It was a call from rent.com from when I had asked about the availability of homes in virginia.  They wanted to know if i had signed a lease and to go back to their site to get 100 dollars.

I received a phone call from 714-929-2044 in October 2007. Message left on voicemail stated that they were Academic Advantage and were hiring students as tutors. The call back number that they left was not 714-929-2044 but an 866 number. When I tried calling back the 714-929-2044 directly it said that my call could not be completed as dialed.

Rent.com asking if I found a place to live because I qualified for a 100 dollar gift card or something.

a caller 2 times, when i picked up no answer, when i called it back it said my call was unable to connect at this time
