They are now using a different number - (717) 628-0087 - f'ing scumbags - still trying to collect "donations" for the State Police - Beware - this is a scam!

This STINKS of SCAM!
Caller is using a VoIP phone number through Choice One Communications Inc.
The problem with VoIP is that the caller can "Mask or Fake" their true identity and location from ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD where there is internet access.
BEWARE OF ANYONE ASKING FOR MONEY BY PHONE, AND MULTIPLY THAT CAUTION TO THE 10TH POWER WHEN THE CALLER IS USING A VOIP PHONE NUMBER.

got calls for police chiefs assoc. for donation

I called this number back when they hung up after six rings...and have called before.

Scam - these people keep calling even after I told them I am not interested.  They say they are fundraising for the State Police Commissioners Fund.

Have received many calls from this no. never answered before until today.  When I did answer after 2 rings got a dial tone.

Fraud Alert!  This is a scam!  Do not donate to this.  State Police have noted they do not solicit funds by phone.  If you really want to donate to such a cause, look up your local Police dept. address and send it to the department directly.  We work to hard for what we have to be scammed out of it.

Police Commissioners fund - asking for $75 - have been calling my home office and cell every day for the past 10 days.

that is correct it is a solicitor for the state police  they use recording fr quality assurance  i always ask anyone who wants to record my conversation with them if its ok to record them as well

It's (I forget the name of the township) a police department, or maybe it's the PA State policeman's association.  They are just requesting donations of either $45, or $55 dollars to help I believe train upcoming police officers.  It's a recording as opposed to an actual human solicitor.

Let the machine get it. No message left.
