The same thing just happened to me. It was from the sheriff department and they asked for me to turn myself in to the nearest office due to a federal complaint or I could call Thomas O'brian at 717-685-2480. I haven't had any dealings with that company.

I just recieved a call from this number. Long story short. They said it was a federal crime division and they wanted me to go to the nearest sheriff station. If I don't pay today then the sheriffs would take me into custody today. They wanted me to pay $597 by visa, MasterCard and get this a "pre-paid card". I've been a victim of this scam before of the same amount. BTW they were middle eastern with American names i.e. Ben White

They say they are the state police and you are facing federal charges.  How do we stop this?

I just got a call from these people as well and I am so tired of them is there anyway to stop these fools from calling my job and harassing me with these lies and alligations.  I mean the charges were so damn stupid I just asked for there number and name.  How can I report them as a scam artist.

Got a call from an coming across as "Emergency Number" and was given this number to call because of a Federal Case. This is a fraud that begins in Belle Glade Florida with a bunch of Desi Indians who have set up office to defraud people who claim to be part of RapidCash. I spoke with Rapid Cash and they DO NOT operate in the State of Florida under that name. I also spoke to the bank in California where they claim Commercial Bank of California is their bank. Commercial Bank of California has never ever heard of them.

They begin by saying you have been approved for $2000 loan. Then they begin to ask for money in the form of a netspend loading card. The last thing they ask for is a "Visibility Fee" so you can "see" your money you've borrowed in your bank account. Again, There is no such fee with any banking institution in the United States. If at any point you stop payment on any of these fees they tell you that you will be sued because the money is there for you. They threaten with federal charges and have people deliver all sorts of "legal" documents to you. They use numbers from all over the country. Thank goodness I had since enough to close my account and have my personal money transferred. The people are ruthless and I will change my number. ha! The funniest part is that these Desi Indians use names like Rock Hudson, James Brown, etc as their names or Spanish names. It's obvious by the thick accents that they are Mid Easterners.
