I finally bought a phone with a blocking feature.  Works extremely well on all unwanted calls!

This number calls me several times a day. They never leave a message. I would appreciate if they would stop.

This is an unwanted call.  There is no one on the line.

These "Unknown" pests call our home incessantly day and night, and *never* leave a message over our answering machine.  Some people have said that they believe it is from the Democratic National Committee, however we do not believe this to be the case.  After all, why would such an organization call and not say anything if it is their intention to solicit funds or convey a political message?  Does not make a bit of sense.  In any event, I personally would love to wring their necks!

It was a third party telemarketer called:Meyer Associates that was attached to the number on my caller ID.  They wanted me to contribute 100 bucks to Obama's Campaign.  I told them that I myself need a government bail out and am still waiting for it.

they call daily or almost daily. Caller id says "unknown", When we answer, the caller ask for Joe, when ask who is calling the caller hangs up.

They've called two or three times a day for the past few weeks and don't leave a message.  They just called a few minutes ago, so now it's over till tomorrow morning.

I've been called from 1-718-502-9614 2-3 times a day for the past few weeks, except, interestingly, on Veteran's Day and Thanksgiving. No message, they just hang up.  To "frowning man", the person who wondered about the "do not call list" - the politicians made sure when they wrote that law, they put in a loophole that allows them to still call you, your name on that list notwithstanding, so it's one of the few things politicians do that's actually legal. Also, it's against the law for them to leave a message.

Just an update - it's been over ten days since I last posted, and I receive at least two calls a day. I've tried picking up, but I just get a disconnect. Who are these people? Should I be worried about "black helicopters" hovering over my home too?

I receive at least three calls a day from this number(718-502-9614). I never answer because it comes up "out of area", yet it is my area code.
That has always been a signal to me of telemarketers.
If it is the Democratic National Committee (DNC), they should at least have the stones to have their name on the caller ID.  It could be a third party telemarketer...
Whatever happened to the "do not call" list?? Another program our government is ignoring? You would think they would be enforcing it, this way they can make money on fines, instead of bothering people just trying to get by in this economy...

This number is the Democratic National Committee. I just received a call asking for a contribution to help fight the economic crisis we are facing.  I did not give any money because, HELLO!, I am facing an economic struggle!! DNC still think non-rich people have money to just give to them.
I did *69 after the call to see what number it was, and this 718-502-9614 is the number it was made from.

every day at least twice per day 718-502-9614 always hang up no questions no voices. I want to know y ??

keeps calling and asking for mr XXXX.  never leaves message on answering machine but *constantly* on caller id.  daily, couple times a day, but no message.  if you answer, the person will not elaborate or leave message like "could you have so&so call me at .... regarding...."

they have been calling at least once a day for weeks. they always hang up. i am thinking of asking the phone company to block them.
