they called me and knew my nickname, zipcode, and where i was looking to go to college. As soon as they found out I wasnt graduated yet, they lost interest in talking to me.

I got a call on March . 20, 2011 early morning from 718-874-0961 :I read its from College Bound Network 1200 South Ave Suite 202, Staten Island NY and their real number is 888-338-6960 (and 718-761-4800) www.collegebound network.net  Is an Interactive Telemarketing Company to recruit students for kick backs from colleges ans Universities. Call 888-338-6960 and hang up on them it cost them money for that number! Annoy them too!

718-874-0961 = College Bound Network.  

Per the website, www.collegebound.net, it is an "Interactive Marketing" company for colleges and universities, meaning they basically recruit students for schools and get kick backs for doing so.  They have at least one toll free number as well ( 1-888-338-6960 ).

this is the third day in a row that I have rec'd calls from these annoying numbers.  646-448-1649, 503-457-1976, 718-874-0961.  I guess the cell phone DO NOT CALL list does not work.  When you call them back they hang up or there is a voice message.  One of them was "College Bound".

I received a phone call at 10:30 AM today 8/10/11 from the following telephone number 718-874-0961 they did not leave a message and I called three times because I am concerned that it was from NDSU (college) but they did not answer or have an answering machine. I want them to stop calling my number.   I dont' have any collection companies calling me for anything I don't have pending debts.

The caller is from College Bound Network 1200 South Ave. Suite 202, Staten Island, NY.  Their real telephone numbers are 1-888-338-6960 and 718-761-4800.  They keep calling me and will not stop after being ask to remove my telephone number from their calling list.  They are generating phony telephone numbers to call out with their solicitations.  If you do not sound like a young college age person when you answer the phone, they hang up abruptly.  They are rude when you call them back and cut you off and hang up on you.  So, here is what I found that pisses them off. Keep calling their 1-888-338-6960 telephone number and hang up on them after 3 seconds.  This causes them to have to pay the 800 charges.  It's called getting even!  Pulsetel.com is just a internet bases telephone service.  The scammers are probably using this service to orginate their calls from.  There is also a company by the name of  Family Resource Publications, Inc. which publishes S.I. Parent Magazine at this same address which also is listed with the same telephone number of 718-761-4800.  Obviously this Family Resource Publications is into many different scammers.
