Same stupid Microsoft/ Dell/ HP Scam that's been tried and tried again. They've tried this scam under other numbers:201-155-2012,970-489-4808,123-456-7809,202-202-1234,206-336-0081,902-336-0081,902-007-1580,229-001-2060,719-189-2472,206-456-0661,125-382-0308,253-820-3089,719-633-8012,999-910-0103.
Never give anyone you don't know personal information of any kind including that you own a computer or anything else. Scammers have gotten so bad that I answer the phone"Criminal Investigations. You're call is being recorded." Most scammers just hang up and never call again.

Received a call from this number about malious file being installed on my computers. The caller said his name was Shawn Dawson with a strong foreign accent. He insisted that I press microsoft logo and R then type in www.support.me in order to give the technician access to my computer to put the best software to protect against hackers and malious virus. I ask many probing questions and proceeded to search online while I had him on the phone. I say this site about the same issue I was facing at the time.

The Engrish was bad when they called me, too. I NEVER give information to people who call me. There is a huge telephone calling business in Manilla, and often the English is understandable. I wondered if someone gave them John Prine records to get names from. Lately, they are all named Sam Stone - and I can tell they are different people. Just tell them to put you on "Do Not Call List."

They called me and I went on line to verify that they were from Microsoft. Of course they weren't so I didn't call them back. They said that my computer had sent in an error message so this call is in response to the error message. They asked me to go on line so they could help me fix the problem. At least that is what I think she said. Her English wasn't great. She said her name was Sam Spencer. Honestly, she didn't sound like a "Sam".

I agree with you. Just hang up on them. Dell nor Microsoft does not communicate that way. It's a scam and those bottom feeders will use any info you give them.
