My parents have received numerous calls since 2010 asking for a person "Mark" whom they don't know.  This person supposedly owes money.  Finally, I got on the line during the last call.  The man spoke with a thick Indian accent.  After I got irate with him, he called me a liar repeatedly and when I threatened to call the police, he said that he would repeatedly call and harass us. I did get a name out of him -Michael Stone-and that he was calling from the Currency Fraud Investigation from somewhere in Pennsylvania.  He then gave me this number.  I called it, and a woman answered, again with a thick Indian accent.  She claimed to be this guy's supervisor and stated that the calls would stop.  We can only hope!

same here he had a very thick Indian accent. Only he was calling about my sister and fraud he says shes involved in. He kept demanding to know my name when I wouldn't give it.They have now been reported and if he calls here again hes not gonna like what I have to say

Started early this am with a call looking for my son, he had his name.  Stated there was a investigation due to something fraud that my son was supposedly involved in..  He wouldn't take no for an answer and kept calling me 6-7 times.  He said his name was George Franklin.  I finally answered and told him I didn't care if he was Benjamin Franklin himself that I didn't want him to call our # again.  I explained my son was in law enforcement and there was no debt or fraudulant activity going on, he threatened me with further investigation and said he has my name and number.  I told him to go ahead and I would follow-up with my own investigation.  I did have a nasty voice mail that I saved and multiple times I didn't answer his call.

i had a call from this number today saying one of my friend is in debtness to them so my number and my name is under investigation...and when i called back a lady answered the phone with an indian voice said the cops are coming to pick me up...what the f%%%%%%k...

Our callers name was 'Dale ward' but in a thick Indian accent.  Same story.

These callers use scare tactics to try and get money, including threatening to have you arrested.  As you know, you cannot go to jail for a debt.  A legitimate collection agency is governed by the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.  When asked by a consumer, they must provide written verification of the debt, including the name of the original creditor.  If you again receive a collection call like this, request a written verification from the caller.  If they send you something in writing, you can submit to our office along with a complaint form.  Do not give any personal information out over the telephone.  We suggest also filing complaints with the Federal Trade Commission at www.ftc.gov and the Federal Bureau of Investigation at www.ic3.gov. To provide you with additional information, we have included a copy of an FBI press release with this letter.  

If you receive these calls, do not follow the caller?s instructions. Rather, you should:

?             Notify your banking institutions.

?             Contact the three major credit bureaus and request an alert be put on your file.

?             Contact your local law enforcement agencies if you feel you are in immediate danger.

?             File a complaint at www.IC3.gov.

They called me 25 times today.  We need to get this information to the Attorney General.  He told me I had a judgement against me.  When I asked who it was, he said he could tell me.  That told me it was a scam.  I want to shut them down.

This company called me and its a scam for money

I work for a staffing company.  And this man Gary Crosby has called 6-8 times in the past few days.  Stating that he is doing some kind of fraud investigation. I kept telling him that person did not work for us.  This man was persistant.  Stated that he would keep calling here.  He kept calling me old lady and threatening me.  (mind you I am in my twenties).  At first I found him comical.  Then it started to get aggravating.  I called his # back that he left.  (when he calls is a private #).  I talked to a lady that claims to be a supervisor.  She stated that she would have him stop calling. SCAM!!!!!!!!

Adult male called stating I would be in a big legal mess if I didn't respond right away. His name was given
as Gary Crosby. this is a scam.

They said that a friend of mine was under investigation

this phone number asks you to identify your social security number... IT IS A SCAM!!!! These people say you owe them money and something bad is gonna happen to you if you don't pay and give them your banking information... they will not identify themselves or the company they work for. Be very careful!
