I got calls from them asking me to buy some auto protection plan. I asked the lady how she got my number, she kept saying something like "only a little money each month can get your car protected..." I said I don't wanna talk about this while she kept advertising her "product". Then I said don't call me again, and if you have my address send something to me. The I got calls from this number several times a day and I ignored or answered without anyone speaking. WTH!

I think it could be a Verizon customer service number. I haven't had my current phone number long, but this number calls almost everyday. You can block them.

When I finally answered their call - it was was some women asking how I was enjoying my SUV that I got rid of years ago.  Then asked if I had gotten a new vehicle and if I was still driving - I finally asked what is the purpose of this call and they started talking about vehicles and I told them, " I'm going to save you time" and hung up on them.  I HATE Telemarketers/Cold-Calling.

Third call in a month, twice in one week to my cellular phone. In the US it is against the law to make unsolicited ads to a wireless phone. Not to mention this is a auto warranty scam. These scumbags need to be removed from Earth.

Have been receiving this call for several weeks, after reading about it here I decided to answer. No one there. The next day they called again (around the same time in the morning). Answered again, this time after some clicks a woman with an accent came on saying "hello, hello?" She wanted to tell me about my extended vehicle warranty. I said no thanks. She said why not? I said because I'm happy with the way things are. She said that she understood that, but if she can transfer me to a supervisor, he can explain why this is important to me. I said no thanks, I'm really busy. Then it sounded like she just gave up, and mumbled something like ok thank you as I hung up.

I'm the READ THIS guy (see older posts). Finally got a person on the other end of the line. She wanted to sell me an "extended vehicle service plan", to which I reply "you mean, like a warranty". She says, "yeah, kinda". Asked her where they were located. Missouri. Asked why my phone shows Clearwater, Fla. and if they were in sales, why they didn't have a reachable number? She fumbled and says, "let me transfer you to a supervisor" to which the only logical thing for me to say at this point is, "ya know, instead of doing that, how about you warranty your mother's di**o and never call me again" and hung up. If they didn't catch me toasted at lunch, I would've tried to inquire much deeper about their "company", but it's funny how gin on the rocks makes you just wanna get to the point. Anyways, I doubt I'll hear back from them.
Oh, and...

If you choose to go with option 2 (recommended), take notes while you're on the phone with them. If you can straight record it, even better. But try to be as detailed as possible in your notes while on the phone with them and whatever happens, POST EVERYTHING YOU JUST EXPERIENCED RIGHT HERE. This is a support system to bring them down. If we all know detailed accounts from different people in the same boat, it will be very easy for other to know exactly what to expect, and what to do about it. If someone finds a way to make them stop calling, post it. If you have a funny story about how you called the person on the other end a "testicleshittingrectalwartshartgargler", Post it. Gotta stick together and fight. F*** THESE A***OLES.

This started for me today. I hope everyone reads this because I have been harassed by another number from Pawtuckett, Rhode Island trying to sell bogus car warranties, and, the same "company" calling from an Irvine, California number. So, these companies have automated machines. Everytime you guys answer the phone from this number and it automatically hangs up, that's a machine recording what time you answer the phone. They will constantly call you until they can find a time that you usually answer, then a person will most likely call. You can't call the number back b/c it's an internet number that only makes outgoing calls. Now, who runs a business, especially sales, in which they DON'T want people to contact them. One answer. Scammers. They don't want to be traced. I saw someone early post about this number soliciting "appliance warranties". Just like I have experience with these f*ckers trying to sell "auto warranties". They make it sound like an insurance plan that's too good to be true. Well guess what....

I never bought the plan for obvious reasons with the other number, but please think objectively people. There are a million red flags surrounding these types of operations and their not hard to see. Also, as far as these forums go, people who work for these pieces of dog s*** will read this, then put up counter posts like, "oh I bought one and it's great" yadayadaya. Don't buy it.

A couple ways to handle this:
1. Don't ever answer. The computer will eventually stop trying to contact your number, but this is definitely the annoying route to go, because you will have to dodge 7 calls a day.

2. Answer the same time everyday. Once a person calls you, play the fool. Try to get as much information out of the person as possible (this part is fun) i.e. ask for names, last names, COMPANY name and make them thoroughly pitch the product to you and really make them sell you. Ask to speak to a manager (they usually hang up at that point) and tell them you've been calling them back but can't get through, ask why. Seriously, play the fool. Ask them what type of business doesn't have a website, email address, or reachable phone number. Ask for their cell phone since they don't have a number and tell them you will only call 7 times a day.  Once they've either given up enough info to incriminate them/trace them in any sort of way, or not, then that's when you give them a peice of your mind. The stronger the words, the stronger the message. In my personal dealings with that other number (same thing as this) I finally got a person to call me at the wrong time, on the wrong day, and I was ready and waiting. Some sweet sounding little girl is on the other end, and I know it's not her fault as she was probably naive to the scam herself, but I let this girl have it. Everything short of screaming and said, "if you, or anyone from this number calls me again, I swear to God...." and hung up. Never heard from them since, to this day.

3. Report this number to whoever you can. Just to a little research and you'll find the right people to talk to. I'd recommend a rep actually in Florida, as they won't want to be given a bad name on their watch.

That's about it. Nothing much to do except, screw with them, don't buy s**t, and let them know that they are what's wrong with the world today. Think about it. Or just ignore them til they stop. But take it from experience, option two is the most gratifying. Hope this helps.

Also, if anyone receiving calls from this number has a way to trace it.....DO IT.
