hung up when I answered. called 1 pm

I got a call and they said the same thing.  I asked to be put on their do not call list, even though I am on the national do not call list, and was asked for my phone number.  I told the woman that she should be able to figure it out, since they placed the call and was told it was a computer generated call and was asked who the dumb a** really was and then she hung up....knowing I could not trace the call that shows as unknown name on caller id.

Some automated voice stating "you may have received a recent letter indicating your rates are going up, we can help to lower them"......

U pushe 9 got some guy asking who I was lol. I reminded him he called me. i told him to figure it out and he hung up. How can we stop these annoying calls. It doesn't  appear the do not call is working the way it was promised. The government could make and should make enough money to cover the cost of this program.

I blasted them with an airhorn as soon as i picked it up!!

I got the same message.

I received a message stating that if I got a letter regarding my rate going up (didn't mention rate on what) I may be able to stop this. Then they tell me to push "9" on the keypad.  Yeah, right away, I was born yesterday.

Showed up as "Russia" on my voicemail list (caller ID)

Aww, dang. I was hoping to get an answer on this one.
No message was left. Caller ID says "Out of Area."

I previously provided link to FTC (Federal Trade Commission) complaint assistant. FTC regulates the Do Not Call list and commerce.

However, FCC (Federal Trade Commission) has broader scope and actually pursues complaints re: phones, junk faxes, internet, wired telephones and wireless telephones, as well as VOIP (voice over Internet Protocol), etc.

Annoying call received at home mid-day - no message - so who did the computer hope to connect with?

Disappointed to see what others have said about this number. I think there should be better federal regulation of these computer-generated invasions of privacy.

There is an online FTC complaint form. I have used it before and the FTC does follow up and send me copies of the complaint via snail mail. I read in the paper that one of the biggest abusers (car warranty scam) was shut down by FTC - and I had complained about that one using the form, as had many others. https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/FTC_Wizard.aspx?Lang=en

BTW - it is ILLEGAL to send ANY computer-generated calls to your cell phone.

Got a call from this number, hung up.

Slimeballs trolling for credit card numbers. Would be nice to be able to send a 240-volt charge back down the phone line to them.
