These people call me several times a day several days a month and it has been going on for years. How do u make them go awar?

This number calls often asking for one of the managers.  On my display it lists "contract publis".  I never let her get to this manager and offer to take a message.  In a very airy voice she says "this is concerning a charity - I will call back later."  I tell her OK, you can try.  She won't get through and this number has been added to my "bogus callers" list - which is really long.  No shortage of nasty scammers out there.

They called this morning, I picked up and heard the woman on the phone say "I don't care if he is married, I just want to get some of his money". I replied "How much?"  She hung up. Cant imagine why. I'm sure they will call again.

Got a phone call asking for donations to The Wishing Well Foundation

Had no idea where 757 was so I did not answer.  Came here and as I suspected it must be a scam of some sort, so into the no ring section of my cell phone.  If it were not for scumbags like this I could reduce my minutes down to almost nothing and save tons of money on my cell phone bill.  On second thought maybe I should go back to a land line through my cable company and save tons of money that way by getting rid of the annoying cell phone.

Number has been calling my landline a few times a week with the ID of "Contract Publis"  
Called today at exactly 3pm(ET), I didn't answer. A two second voicemail of the guy clearing his throat.

This ring of telemarketers keeps calling, and keeps harassing everyone in the entire world of America. They will soon be after your family also. It all starts with a hang-up or dropped call during communication on a celluar device. They are an illicit non-profit drug racketeering group that are fronting as an internet telemarketing agency. They start out by simply offering you a small business loan, or better placement in Google search listings. In exchange, they move their manufacturing machinery to your personal property, to run the real top secret operations. They have been investigated for quite some time. Police have continually been eluded by these relentless thugs! The FBI and CIA has been notified due to the barrage of arsenal these gorillas have recently obtained. They have mentioned extortion threats of Nuclear Warfare, Taliban, and theft of military drone aircraft. They use many other telephone numbers such as: 888-829-8126 360-340-9591 323-316-1003 and 800-526-9766. You will not gain access to those numbers until you have been promoted as a "Vice-Guest" in their cartel.

Called business asking for someone I've never heard of, then asked for owner, when asked what she wanted she said she said she wanted to speak with someone about charitable contributions.

Person on the line was told "so and so is not available-Thank You" and I hung up. Person called right back and said "Wow, you have the nerve to answer the phone again" then hung up. Not very nice. We get so many solicitation calls each day and sorry I do not have time to tell you when to call again only so I can field that call from the bosses, too.

i called the number back and politely asked to be removed from the calling list the woman hung up on me and i called back same thing. she keeps hanging up on me. Something is not right about them. i am now calling them repeatedly like theyve been doing to me

I like to refer to what Jesus said when it comes "charity". "You feed the sick and the hungry yourselves" which is what we do.  "Charitable Organizations" are amongst the richest in America and for good reason. Here goes the "No" on my phone for the thousandth time. One time I was at a Company event at a park where they were having catering done for their employees and boasting about how much they had given to charity all the while chasing the homeless away. What a trip!

Said I "won" a spot on an online advertising site and wanted to help me generate more business.  Told her I wasn't interested.  She asked why I didn't want more business.  Told her I didn't need to advertise right now.  She tried to keep me on the line by saying, "don't you want to generate leads?".  I told her thank you and good bye.

I started to do something different with calls like this... (my buisness phone rings OFF THE HOOK... ALL DAY LONG)!!! So what i'm doing now is simply answering & hitting mute immediately. They say hello a couple times & hang up. It seems to be thinning them out a bit...

Didn't leave a message. I wouldn't trust them.

Lady wanted us to donate to a children's charity called Wishing Well Foundation, which you definitely should not confuse with the Make-a-Wish Foundation.  First person on this page had it right... this "charity" doesn't seem like it really does that much.

Selling advertising ("Gorilla Marketing" in which their company writes and publishes a colorful review of my business to post and link to search engines). Took about 5 minutes (they at first had the wrong type of business and then gave me a write up more based on the services my company provides) to finally get to the "guaranteed Google placement" pitch.  I explained according to Google that they do not (nor can any other company) guarantee top placement.  She continued to talk as I hung up.

Note:  If only 18% of the money actually goes to help anyone, we wouldn't donate anyway.  Salvation Army and Lions Club contribute 100% to the needy.  Red Cross is a joke and so is Goodwill.  Look them up!

Rang wireline. Call blocked. Caller ID "Contract Publis" but number returns to "Nail Spot," a nail spa salon in Virginia. Previous number used by Contract Publis was 757-578-3500?. By name, Contract Publis is a solicitor of charity funds for children's relief and cancer survivor charities.
