Since when are shills literate?!? Silly! I've been dealing with this crap for a few years now (and to the SHILLS, I DON'T owe anything to a Payday loan company so go F*CK YOURSELVES!), and any time I come on here, anybody telling us how wonderful, professional and courteous these scam people are, has been illiterate! What does that tell you? HOW ON EARTH such idiots can get away with this scam so long is beyond me because they don't seem to have much education and appear to be complete idiots...
I guess nobody in law enforcement is going to pay attention until some senator's relative starts getting calls. This is getting quite ridiculous. I'm quite sure, being in the security industry myself, that law enforcement has the ability to get some of these jerks.

This company is now using 415-697-0488.  This is still Harris and Harvey Mediation.  I received the same voicemail (robocall) that I needed to contact them or they would debit my checking account. This the third time now that they've called me.  When I called back, the other person kept hanging up on me when I asked for their mailing address since I told them I have never taken out payday loan.  Definite SCAM!!!  I found this doing more research.  I believe this company is associated with William, Harvey, and Associates.  They were just sued in NY.

Your correct shill kill. Mr. Martin lacks imagination, being that he works other peoples scams and isn't creative enough to come up with his own.. He lacks initiative, or he would actually get an education and be a productive member of society and not wile his life away in some dank boiler room waiting for the tumor to finally end his miserable experience of a life. Oh, sorry, I'm being a cold blooded a**, aren't I?  But then again, I suffer fools none to lightly, and I suffer thise who prey on the easily intimated even less lightly. And I have never in my life claimed to not be a cold blooded b*****d lol. I at least am a veteran of the armed forces, with a very uniuqe skill set if you take my meaning, and I also have 3 degrees. One in law, one in political science, and another in philosphy. I also seem to be up even more on Mr. Martin as I can find the damn cap lock on the keyboard and know when to use it an when not to. Ambulance chaser indeed......lol

Are you literate?  Can you read and write at a third grade level?  If so, where did she indicate she had even taken out a loan?  Where did she mention anything about a co-signer?  How about a third party?

Oh wait, no she didn't.  You would just prefer to call people names on sites like these because they exposed illegal collection efforts.

So please, crawl back under your rock in the maggot infested boiler room you work in.

Scammers sometimes spoof numbers, that is they put a number in the display that isn't their real number.  I think your caller got a a call like that.  A scammer called her and your number was in the display.

Hush, shill.

Consumers across the country report that they're getting telephone calls from people trying to collect on loans the consumers never received or on loans they did receive but for amounts they do not owe. Others are receiving calls from people seeking to recover on loans consumers received but where the creditors never authorized the callers to collect for them. So what's the story?

The Federal Trade Commission (FTC), the nation's consumer protection agency, is warning consumers to be on the alert for scam artists posing as debt collectors. It may be hard to tell the difference between a legitimate debt collector and a fake one. Sometimes a fake collector may even have some of your personal information, like a bank account number. A caller may be a fake debt collector if he:

   is seeking payment on a debt for a loan you do not recognize;
   refuses to give you a mailing address or phone number;
   asks you for personal financial or sensitive information; or
   exerts high pressure to try to scare you into paying, such as threatening to have you arrested or to report you to a law enforcement agency.

If you think that a caller may be a fake debt collector:

   Ask the caller for his name, company, street address, and telephone number. Tell the caller that you refuse to discuss any debt until you get a written "validation notice." The notice must include the amount of the debt, the name of the creditor you owe, and your rights under the federal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.

   If a caller refuses to give you all of this information, do not pay! Paying a fake debt collector will not always make them go away. They may make up another debt to try to get more money from you.
   Stop speaking with the caller. If you have the caller's address, send a letter demanding that the caller stop contacting you, and keep a copy for your files. By law, real debt collectors must stop calling you if you ask them to in writing.
   Do not give the caller personal financial or other sensitive information. Never give out or confirm personal financial or other sensitive information like your bank account, credit card, or Social Security number unless you know whom you're dealing with. Scam artists, like fake debt collectors, can use your information to commit identity theft ? charging your existing credit cards, opening new credit card, checking, or savings accounts, writing fraudulent checks, or taking out loans in your name.
   Contact your creditor. If the debt is legitimate ? but you think the collector may not be ? contact your creditor about the calls. Share the information you have about the suspicious calls and find out who, if anyone, the creditor has authorized to collect the debt.
   Report the call. Contact the FTC and your state Attorney General's office with information about suspicious callers. Many states have their own debt collection laws in addition to the federal FDCPA. Your Attorney General's office can help you determine your rights under your state's law.

Someone named Jeniffer Jefferies from Harris and Harvey Mediation keeps calling my work place to try and collect a debt from some loan I did not get. I spoke to her last week on a Thursday or Friday 9/26/27/13 and she said she had my last four digits of my S.S. and my bank acct # ending in ####. I told her I have never gotten a loan from that loan company and she wanted to try and settle. I told her I would want my att to look into this because I had never gotten a loan from that company. So I gave her my email address and told her to email me all the information so I could have my att look at it. She requested my physical address and I told her she dosent need it if she's going to email me the information. She said she needed to hear from me by Wed. of next week and if she didn't she would have to take futher action. It is Tues. 10/1/13 and I still have not recieved any email regarding the phone call, and I just recieved another phone call which I did not answer.

On 8/22/13 at around 2:41pm MST, I was contacted by a woman named Kelly Preston, claiming to be from a company called Harris and Harvey Mediation, who was attempting to reach me. I called Ms. Preston back at 757-263-4266 ext. 109, who informed me that she had my social security number, address, employer and banking information, an information about a recent payday loan that was in default. I asked for information to that regard and they were to mail this information out.  I never received the information and a month later I received another phone call from Kelly Preston informing me that they will be pursuing legal action against me.  I called the White Collar crimes department of my respective city and they indicated they were not aware of anything of this nature and did mentioned that there were a growing number of scams associated with this phone number.  I've been advise to delete and ignore these messages.

Received a call from Kelly a paralegal from Harris and Harvey Mediation who indicated that i had taken out a loan a few years back and that this is an attempt to collect.  If I did not respond to this extremely time sensitive inquiry further action will be taken where it equates to a bad check.

i asked to see the information and she indicated that she would be mailing out the information however i have never seen nor heard of the information she mentioned.  She called back today and wanted to know how to settle this.  i'm told by the local police department to ignore these calls.

On 8/27/13 at around 2pm Pacific time, I was notified by a friend (third party) that she was contacted by a woman named Michelle Walker, claiming to be from a company called Harris and Harvey Mediation, who was attempting to reach me. I called Ms. Walker back at 757-263-4266, and was told that she was unavailable. I spoke with a Steven Sanchez who informed me that he had my social security number, address, employer and banking information, and unless I made a payment to him at that moment, he was going to pursue legal action against me. When I attempted to discern who the original creditor was, or even how much I owed, he refused to give me that information. I stated that I was invoking my right to receive further information regarding this alleged debt in writing, and stated my preference that all further communications be in writing, as well as ceasing contact with any and all third parties, and he refused, threatening to call all of my family and friends. He then disconnected the call. I immediately placed a fraud alert on my social security number through all three credit bureaus and the Social Security Administration, and notified the IRS of potential identity theft as this did not sound like a legitimate debt collector. I also filed a complaint with the FTC.
On 9/10/13 at around 3pm Pacific time, I was again notified by the same third party that she was again contacted by Ms. Michelle Walker of Harris and Harvey Mediation. I again attempted to call Ms. Walker back at 757-263-4266, and was told by an unidentified male that she was again unavailable. I then requested the company?s address to issue a request for information in writing, and a cease phone contact letter. He stated he would transfer me to the front desk, who would provide me with that information. I was then transferred to Ms. Walker herself. When I advised her of my intent to send such letters, she told me that giving me their mailing address was ?impossible.? I advised her of my right to request that she only contact me in writing, and to cease contacting any third party, and she stated that she would continue to contact me via phone to collect the alleged debt. I again requested information regarding this debt in writing, and she refused. When I notified her of my intent to alert the authorities, she placed the call on hold and then disconnected the call. I then informed the Virginia Beach Police Department, which is where the calls seem to have originated from. An Officer Lamb contacted me on 9/11/13 at 5:45am Pacific time, stating he had spoken with a gentleman at Harris and Harvey, and that all I needed to do was to call them to get this straightened out. I advised him of the above attempts at contact, and he advised me that it was probably a scam and to just ignore the calls, and if I get any further calls, ?maybe? he?ll send a detective. He did not file a formal police report. I also reported the incidents to the Attorney General?s Office, the FBI fraud unit, and the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.
