I love the "call block" feature on our phones!  Idiots tried again today....

Of course when you call this number back you learn this is NOT a valid in-service US phone number!  So it's 1 of 2 possibilities:

1. a scummy collector faking a bogus caller ID so you answer the phone
2. a scummy "we'll lower your credit card interest rate" scammer, faking a bogus caller ID so you answer the phone

Reporting to FTC for no call list violation does no good because no one really knows WHERE the call originates- many of these are actually coming from India or Pakistan....

Government- do something to PROTECT your citizens!

Didn't leave a message.  What ever happened to No Calls?

Received a call frmo this number,m but was unable to answer.  No message left,.  Called the number back and a recordiong says the number is disconnected.  That makes it fradulent, not to mention my number is on the DNCL.  Reporting them to the FCC.

No message left, attempted to call back, discoed (no surprise there).

Just got a call from 760 242 1248 - voice sounded foreign - somewhere in Africa, Jamaica, or could have been middle eastern - whatever.  He mispronounced my name big time and then he said another name similar to someone I know.  Bad connection and when I asked him to repeat himself, he hung up.
Really wish people doing/trying to do what he was doing would get a life and do something POSITIVE.

They called last night. My son answered the phone, they asked for me. My son told them I was unavailable...they swiftly hung up. So, I called the number back today and low and behold....It's disconnected...

received call from 760 242 1248. The man asked for my wife and told her he was from American Financial and that he had my current credit card information.  She stopped him and asked him not to call our house again.  We have had several call from this number and we weren't here to answer, same as the others, no message.

same ..no message left....

Thank goodness we weren't hear.  No Call list doesn't seem to mean a @*

Received a phone call this PM - He stated the company name was Pinicle Financial (sp).  Later stated  they were a Law Firm and could get my interest rate lowered.  Told him the two cards I have were at zero interest.  He wanted additional info.  I hung up

Call was about debt consolidation...........after they called quite a few times!
