This foreigner calls from this number and says he's with the CBI and I have committed a federal crime.This guy keeps calling because I owe money to a company. When asked what company he said it could be on of over 175 companies. When I ask for dates he cannot give them to me for evidence reasons. Be careful. I have reported to Colorado Attorney General and the FTC!

I also received a call from these people at work, they left a message. Stating that he was Officer John Hudson, Bureau of Crimes Investigations. Stating that the conversation is being recorded and a colleague will be listening in, trying to be all professional and authentic, refrain from using any cuss words or using the "f" word and being very polite.Saying a loan was taken out and funds deposited in a bank account that supposely belonged to me. The company is looking to take the despute to court if it is not paid to them. Asking do you want to pay this amount now without going to court.

This individual throughout some account numbers phishing for informtion and hoping I would give some personnal info or pay said amount over the phone. His accent was so heavy and bearly understandable.  They also have another phone # that they utilize for their scam 760 465 2625.

It is sad what links people will go to, to try and swindle people out of their hard earned money, with these scare tactics. Go out and get an honest job like everybody else!

I got one from "Michael Harvard," supposedly an officer with the Bureau of .. ... [accent too thick to understand...].  

I thought it was probably a scam, because I'd recieved nothing in the mail informing me that a "legal claim" had been filed against me.  I don't think that a phone call is the normal way to serve someone legal notice.  Needless to say, perhaps, I was surprised, as I really couldn't think who would want to file a claim against me, and I wondered what they possibly hoped to get out of me. hehe.

Thanks for confirming my suspicions that this is a scam.  The person called me from Inyo county, or some way out of the way place in California.  This also helped to confirm that it was a scam to me.  Am going to ignore.

5 calls to my place of employment within a 2 hour time frame. Caller said he's from Crime Investigation Bureau. I asked to speak to his superior...he says he's the sr ofcr and no one is above him. I asked where he was calling me from...he gave me a 510 area code # and said he was calling from the city of stockton (not the right area code for stockton). He threatened to report me to my employer!! I told him not to call me between the hours of 8a-5p..he said he had every right to make these calls. Who are these people?

Yet another scam by these people. They call from various numbers (they constantly have to switch to skirt the legal authorities) and claim to be a law firm, US Legal Department, or some other made-up BS name. I have filed with the attorney general, Interpol, BBB and even FBI on these guys multiple times because they call me at work about every 6 months will some made-up story about how I owe money to some bank I have never heard of for a debt they refuse to validate. They say things like "the very second you receive this message" and "I wish you good luck" or better yet talk about how your SSN will be "frozen" and such. If you ask for written proof, or their collection license #, they tell you they do not have to provide it. SCAM SCAM SCAM. They are not legitimate companies. They steal your info and make up loans or debts you never even had. Hang up on them. They cannot (and will not) do anything to you. They cannot prosecute you or put you in jail or anything else. Even if your debts are legitimate, they still cannot do those things. Do not pay them a dime.

people called from this number saying they are police authorities, and that my personal info was under federal investigation. when i call back they said that they were lawyers.  who are these people?
