I received a phone call on Monday from a man claiming to be Jason Smith, an attorney from California. He was extremely rude, demanding and threatening to me. Not only that but he called me at work, which our local police told me is illegal. He also gave me a fax #1-888-255-1000. I did some of my own research and was told, that in fact, there are only 4 attorneries by the name of Jason Smith and that if they did call me it would not be handled in this manner.
As soon as I heard from this a*** hole, I contacted my bank, the credit reporting agencies, who red flagged my account. This man, if you want to call him that, said that I borrowed $500.00 from a payday loan company and that if I didn't set up payment arrangements, he would make sure that I there was problems for me. When I told him that I wanted him to send me a letter with his businesses phone number on it , and then I would make arrangements, he got even more rude with me. He said that he would be "downloading an affidavid (Not sure how to spell that) right away and hung up the phone." That was the second conversation that I had with him. He pretty much ruined my whole week and my ability to get anything done. There is no doubt that this is a fraud and that people need to be careful. DON'T LET HIM SCARE YOU!!! As soon as you start asking questions of him, he will back away. Protect yourself and your money, please. Take him down now before he ruins lives.

...and a few weeks later they try me again. All they're going to get this time is ignored, I'm not going to waste one second of my time on them. They can't do anything to anyone besides get on their nerves.

I was getting these phones calls about 8 months ago, then they stopped. Now today I have received another. Who are these people!?!?!?!  Why can't they be reported or tracked down or something.

This person has called our work looking for one of our employees. They claim that this person has committed "criminal and fraudulent activities over the internet" and that they have "used our company name and information to commit financial fraud". I was given this number, but no name, and was told that if we did not respond immediately, they would "send an investigative team to our place" and have this employee removed.

Not once did they mention who they were with, or whether they were a government agency. Considering the person's accent was thicker than the smog in LA, I can't imagine this being any more than a scam. I'd love to confirm it, because then I can report him to the state for multiple crimes.

I got a call from this number today saying that I owed 5045.00 but I could settle for 545.87 for a payday loan that i never took out. Some guy with a Indian accent... I'm thinking its fraud. I'm not sending them anything!!

I have received called from these DIP S**** for approx. 1 mth. The SS# they have isn't even mine-yet, I do not believe they UNDERSTAND THE WORDS THAT R COMING OUTTA MY MOUTH when I try 2 tell them so.

I received a phone call from this number approximately a month ago. They told me I owed them $1500.00 that they deposited into my bank account which was false. Then today I received several harassing phone calls from the same guy and this time he tried to tell me that he deposited $5,500.00 into my account. He was told to stop calling several times but continued to anyway. I believe this is a scam and this should be addressed because there are people who will buy into this scheme.

Have had several calls from this person today, including 2 that were spoofing as "911", another as UNAVAILABLE.
I have lodged a complaint with my state's AG and will pursue state and federal 'no-call' complaints against them if they continue, I recommend that everyone else do the same, let's drive these people out of business and into jail (or deportation) where they belong!!!
