Foreign scammers almost always use common sounding names, or names of famous people. Often with very funny results. "Philip Morris", now known as the "Altria group". Maker of Chesterfield, Marlboro, Virginia Slims, & Benson & Hedges cigarettes. As "Johnny" used to yell in those 1950's tv ad's "Call for Philip Morris!". I would say your scammer from India smokes.

This is a scam, I suspect from India or Pakistan, judging by the accent.  My caller said his name was Philip Morris but would not give me his company.  He wanted my email addy which I did not give him.  According to him he had records on his system of my "unsecured debts"; but not my name, and vanted to give me advice against scrupulous firms that were out to cheat me.  When I said, as I always do to such callers, "I have only two words to say to you."  (They think F word but all I do say is "Go away.") he swore at me asking did I think I was Gordon Brown and then went away!  SCAM SCAM SCAM.

This number has tried to call me twice now over the past few days. I live in the UK. Haven't tried to call it back? Is it a scam?

had the same problem, I think the +1 code is somewhere in the USA. the strange thing is I had not long finished setting up an iPad, just assumed it was an apple verification call?? any one else have the same time line? called the number back but just got, you have dialed an incorrect number message.
