Received call from 767-275-9067 again this morning.  (area code 767 is from  Commonwealth of Dominica)
A girl with India accent,  telling me my computer was infected. I played her along for 15 minutes acting as not understanding her instructions. She switched me to a 'service tech' to walk me through the steps. 30 minutes later I told him the reason I couldn't find the info he was telling me to find because my computer was a android tablet.  I told him his number had been captured and already sent to the FCC.  He called me a a**hole and hung up.  At least I kept them from calling someone else for 45 minutes.  Plus I did report them here.

Call just came in. Same story. When I asked him which computer. We have several. He hung up. Thick middle eastern accent.

Don't fall for this. In fact you should probably power down any windows computer you have in your home if you get this call. Scammers make me sick.

They called at 7:07 AM!!  What the heck is that!!!!

Have now received four calls from this number.  Already told them to stop calling me and I know they are not from Microsoft!  Some folks get curious and call an unfamiliar number to see who called ... this bunch is reported as being in Dominica and it will be a VERY expensive long distance call for you ... maybe ask your phone company to block calls from that region.

Some  clown called my home at 6:20 AM and said he needed to access
my computer because he has noticed that there is a problem with it. I repeatedly
asked why he was calling my home at that time of the morning. In his "un-English"
accent, he kept telling me there was a problem with my computer and he needed
to repair it??? W T F?? I politely told him to F off and hung up. I would truly love
to see this wimp in person, face to face. Oh well!

I received a call from this number just minutes ago (morning, June 24, 2014).  A man with a strange accent was wanting information on my "Windows computer".  I find that odd as I live pretty close to Microsoft HQ, and didn't recognize the area code...so I sad that I smelled sham all over this.  He hung up.

I received multiple calls from this number for the last week on my caller ID.  Today my husband answered it and a man named Shawn saying that he was a working as an independent contractor for Microsoft said there was a problem with my computer.  My husband informed him that I could not come to the phone at that time and that he could call back.. When I was finished with what I was doing it looked the number up on 800notes and found that many people had found this to be a scam.  This person called back shortly after.  I informed him that I had checked the number he was calling from on my caller ID and that I felt hat he was trying  scam information from me.  He told me no that I had looked it up, and I explained yes, I had looked it up and If Microsoft wanted to get hold of me they could email me or call me directly with proof positive it was them.  I do not believe that Microsoft would be calling me if there was a problem.  If a problem occurred that they would be issuing me a written missive.

Got this call as well today. Another "infected computer" scam call.

Received several call from these people over the past few days --- As soon as Caller ID displays ''Dominica'' and a number and area code I'm not familiar with, I ignore the call.  They have never left voice mail for me.  In fact, they usually hang up after 3 rings so they don't trigger my VM.

This person has been calling here for the past 2 days. Just called for the 3d time a few minutes ago. Would always call but not leave a message. Normally when people do that I figure it's not important & there's something wrong anyway so I blocked the #.  Just researched the area code on Google & found these links.

Same story as everyone's: fraudulent computer infection detected. I wonder how many poor souls still fall for this scam.

I just got a call as well, Guy claiming something was wrong with my computer. when I called him on it he got upset and verbally abusive needless to say I became just as verbal.

Scam artist trying to convince me my computer was infected.  Well known scam.  I blew my very shrill, very loud emergency whistle into the receiver and he STILL kept rambling on.  I blew again. STILL yammered on.  Finally I waited until he paused, asked calmly, "Can you hear me?"  He said he could.  That's when I unleashed a tirade of foul language and called him a scam artist before slamming down the phone.

Received a call this morning from a blocked number. I do not answer any calls that block their identity. I googled the number & saw several complaints about the same caller. The number was (767)275-9067.  

I have received five calls in the last couple of days from various area codes ( North Alabama, Texas, foreign Caribbean area etc.  All were a computer scam for errors .  I told them I custom built computers and to take there bull else where.  

Received call late tonight...very irritating from this 767 275 9067 number but no one spoke......just stayed on the line with no talking!

I have received these calls claiming to be from Microsoft for a long time. They are trying to sell a virus protection and although they say they are from Microsoft if you press them they will say they are calling on behalf of Microsoft. I contacted Microsoft to complain and they said to give them the number, but the number is different every time.  Dominica's call I didn't answer but I have answered in the past for fun and the previous caller said they were calling from NY.  One caller the display read "pay Phone"--I gave him a piece of my mind since I am on the DNC list.  The real Microsoft has call centers all over so there will be people with an accent but they told me they don't call customers--EVER. This is a scam.

Received several phone calls wanting access to our computer because of virus and stating that they were Microsoft employees. We told them to stop calling us or we would file a complaint with the authorities.

Received a phone call from someone with an accent...maybe Dominica, at least that is what the caller ID gave. I am on the national do not call registry. It was early in the morning and was not too tonally nice. This seemed to disturb the person who began to stammer. I was very abrupt and they did not respond in a timely manner to my abruptness. I terminated the call. Any reputable business respects the do not call list.

Same thing just happened to me. I could not understand the woman so I just hung up.  Recognized the number and this time looked  on Google. What a nuisance.

Got a call from this number today.... told him what he should do with his scam and where to put it, lol.  Sick of these calls.

I had a call just now, and he asked for the owner of the computer (said he was from Windows), I said they weren't home and asked him why he was asking, he quickly hung up lol.

I just received a call from this number.  The guy told me his name was Justin and was phoning about my Windows computer.  He said that there had been some error messages received and that he needed me to log on and follow his instructions.  I told him that I didn't have a Windows computer and anyway I was at work.  He promptly hung up on me.  

Got a call from lady with heavy accent said she was calling from NEW YORK telling me my "windows computer" is running a malicious program and go open my "windows computer" and type in "this www?.. I did not do it, said I would call back in a moment if she gave me their phone number she said OK. their was yelling in background in a strange language for about 2 minutes then she gave me this number 305-407-2742 so I hung up and checked caller ID that number was 767-275-9067 can you track them down and stop them? they call at all hours and keep trying. I said to them "I know this is a scam and I will not fall for it no matter how many times they try" but they keep calling. I hope this is more than just a forum and you can/will actually do something about this.

Someone from this number has called me repeatedly telling me that I have infected software on my computer.  This needs to stop.

Just received a call a little before 9am telling I have a virus, and they are working for Microsoft. Veronica was who she said she was, and yes hit the windows key and R at the same time. I played along and didn't even have my computer booted up. I asked her how I could be assured this wasn't a scam and she went to get her supervisor. I hung up while I was waiting, they called back and I didn't pick up.

This is the second time they have called my house. They got my husband the last time they called.

At 12:06 P.M., 05/30/14 some idiot, claiming to work for WINDOWS called me and told me that they could see all kinds of error and trouble reports from my computer, and she needed me to press CTRL+START+R all at the same time.  I asked her a few questions trying to catch her with some bull, but she kept saying I needed to push these keys.  I finally told her I
was not falling for it and terminated the call.  I immediately called the number they called from and received a message "Due to technical difficulties this call can not be completed."  These people need to be terminated as well.....

Guy calls, I knew it was a scam as my Dad didn't have a computer...so I got  him back and said OMG.. is my computer going to crash...oh no I'm so glad you caught this..(he told me to settle down) and I said do you want my credit card number..oh how about my SS# and let's not forget my bank acct. #..I said please hold on..I will give you that info...made him wait a while and got back on the phone and said LISTEN YOU SOB I DON'T HAVE A COMPUTER...the guy hung up..
