Now I'm getting TEXT messages on my cell phone from this number. Offers for "quick cash". I suspect whoever had this number before me may have used those "pay-day" places you always see advertised. I just keep answering "STOP" to the texts, but I'm not certain that's going to help much.

Received a text from this number-deleted it immediatly. Did not read it. Have been receiving numerous text and phone calls from various numbers. This is a scam! If you answer or read the text, they assume that gives them permission to do it again and again and also to pass your number to others. If it is a text-delete it-don't read it! If it is a phone call-don't answer. It will stop after a few days.This is the only way that you can stop the text and phone calls. It is a waste of time to contact your phone company, the authorities and even the FCC. They either can't or won't do anything. I learned the hard way-I answered the calls and even called to remove my number. I would type STOP as a reply to the text to stop the text but this only caused more calls and text. When I began deleting the messages and not answering the phone. The calls and texts stop. I promise that it works!

Its about time the jerks we send to Washington do something to stop spammers no matter where they come from. I bet they can stop spammers from texting Obama.
