These people call over and over and over and over. Dont answer, its just a scam.

Said she was with a Children's Charity....gave me a website to look at which I didn't write down as I know it was a hoax....but keeps calling back even though I said I do not give out personal information or do donactions through phone soliciation.

Just read the doc below and it matches - she chit chatted about stuff made a joke like she knew me and then asked for the boss - Said they made kids story books and offer ads in it.  

I'm sure all this is fine but I didn't opt in to the program, therefore I'm not listening

today i decided i was going to be a bitchy receptionist and i grilled her.  Yes they are calling from EDMONTON ALBERTA, and that is why they have a 780 number.  I finaly managed to get a number i could call them back at (1-800-753-0193).  this company is called Regional Maple Leaf and they put out free mini-magazines for children and teens and are looking for people to advertise to help pay for the publication.

As for the person on the other line being extremely inappropriate, i so far havent come across that yet."

tHIS GALL CALLS 4 TO 10 TIMES A DAY, ASKS TO TALK TO ACERTEN PERSON, BUT HE OR SHE IS NOT IN, YOU ASK TO TAKE A MESSAGE, ALL SHE WILL SAY IS HER NAME, AND THATS IT, SAYS SHE WILL CALL LATER, IF WE ARE CLOSED OR LET THE CALL GO TO MAIL BOX, NO MESSAGE IS LEFT, SHE TALKS LIKE SHE KNOWS YOU, AND SOUNDS VERY FRENDLY, BUT SOMETHING IS NOT RIGHT WITH THIS CALLER, DO NOT ANSER THE CALL, I REPORTED IT TO THE COPS AS WELL THE PHONE COMPANY

I get called  one to two times per week. no message. i never  answer. annoying  me .

I have gotten a few calls to my cell from this number, always during work hours. My bf has received a few calls from the number as well. They never leave a voicemail and we're not sure where they are getting our numbers from. Sounds like I should be glad I've never had the chance to pick-up! haha

This phone number has been calling my company phone 3-4 times a day for nearly 2 weeks. I don't answer my work phone often while on a job, so after the first day of seeing 3 calls I decided I would not answer that number untill they left a message like every other customer does. Hasn't happened yet. Now reading these posts and finding out who the caller is....I have spoke to them before. Same experience. They talk like your best friend.....and take forever to get to the point. Then they don't ask about selling you an advertisement, but almost tell you you are doing one and they need your mailing info. It is very hard to convince them
You don't want to do the ad, and you pretty much have to hang up on them.

This number is calling 2 or 3 times a week, asks for the boss when I reply which one there are 12 of us she hangs up!

same experience as others mentioned...i took the call one time and spoke to her and tried to get rid of her saying send me stuff int he mail and will take it from there..she then transferred myself to her manager at that moment i hung up as i was at work and it was getting long. Since then she calls me different time in the day and multiple times keep on trying and trying. I just dont pick up and she doesnt even leave a message...

We are getting these calls constantly from this same 780 area code.  They always speak as if the boss is an old long lost buddy.  Today it was Judy and last week it was HIlary.

Our company gets calls from this number every few days.   We are not open at the time of these calls so it goes to a voice mail and then there is no message.   One time that we did take a call, the person also spoke like they knew the owner but when asked who it was that was calling before transferring the call they hung up.

Scam or Unprofessional....you decide!

This woman called and talked to my husband like she knew him.  She didnt announce who she was or what company she was from, and started the conversation with "Can I talk to the boss man?"  my husband was working for a new company, and told her no. He asked who she was and she replied with "Im the boss man's stalker".   She then asked if "The boss man" is cute, and then if my husband was cute.   In the end, the lady said the call was about advertising, and that they would be sending something in the mail.  

This is all very odd sounding, not professional, and they wont be getting our business.
