I have had several calls from 1-800-214-5291. Daniel (with a very thick India accent) asks for a relative who I have not had contact with in more than 15 years. I have an unlisted phone number.

They called our agency office number - I offered to transfer them to the state attorney general's office.  The caller got flustered and said "there is no need."  I told them there was definitely a need if they are trying to scam someone out of money.

He hung up.

Definitely originating in India - sounds like a boiler room call center in the background.

I get calls from this number every single day and do not know why they are calling - it must be a computer generated call.
Please have them stop calling!

As courtesy ..this is an attempt to collect the debt.
They says - No collection fee's involved and they don't deal with credit reporting.

They call w/o leaving a message. A bankruptcy was filed after my spouse broke their back and broke our bank. They are now breaking the law calling.

They called me and after reading the comments above called them back. They are after my niece who is someplace around this country. I asked them if they were calling from Hydrabad or Delhi but NO all calls were being routed through Atlanta....duh let me think...it's you basic Indian sweatshop call center...pain in the a** all around.

I received a phone call from them today.  They said it was for my A T & T bill.  i just received the bill in the mail yesterday from A T & T.  Seems like a scam to me.

These people call constantly.  Very annoying.

Call 800-386-0074, press 0 for the operator, and ask them to remove your number from their directory.

I receive three calls everyday from this number and when I answer, they hang up in about 3 seconds. Very annoying.

I am constantly geting calls. Needless to say they are breaking the law. Class action filed.

i got a call from this number and said that i owe 750$ with my cp bill, well i hungged up right away, cause I know  what I really owe,

i did not answer and they do not leave messages. The calls are to my cell phone , how they got this number i do not know.

Unfortunately, debt collectors do not have to comply with the "DO NOT CALL REGISTRY."

Don't answer the telephone. I have caller ID and I don't answer 800 #s, if they use a regular telephone # then it's their dime and I don't care how long the call lasts.
They NEVER leave a message and when they call I tell them they have the wrong number, next time I am going to tell them the party has passed away, they can call the cemetery.
I don't have bad debts and I never have and never will.

The sell your information to a new company so they will tell you just what they think you want to hear. I have never had any bad debts so why am I being harassed...because my ex-husbands daughter does have bad debts and she gave them my phone # and me as a reference. If they would call before all this happens I would tell them to keep their purses zipped.
Just wanted to give you a heads up...they will not stop calling.

I don't know how they got my telephone number but if it is an 800 call or says PRIVATE NUMBER I don't answer. I pay for caller ID and that's what it's there for, I don't owe any debts and I am not going to talk to these people.

CORRECTION: REactivate every line you ever had on the account

These people are relentless. They will terrorize you. They will terrorize family and friends. They will dismantle your entire life and they will smile doing it. They will harass family even if that family is on oxygen treatments. If you or family die as a result of their tactics, they couldn't care less. Yes, they are a collection company for AT&T, and AT&T is just as corrupt as the collection agency they use as their de facto mafia enforcers. Common AT&T tactic: cancel your account, upon cancellation deactivate illegally every number you ever had on the account, charge illegal ETF fees, then send their enforcers, aka this Collection Agency, to terrorize, harass, stalk and threaten you and everyone you've ever had contact with until you pay them limitless amounts of money. It doesn't matter if the debt was valid or invalid. It doesn't matter if your friends and family end up wanting you dead as a result of these people. These people are the devil incarnate. If you get contacted by these people, God help you.

Received several (8-10) calls from this company over the last 2 weeks.  Most of the time they just hang up but they have left one message and they are looking for the person who used to have my current phone number.  (I have had it for 3 years so they're records are very much out of date.)  I visited their website and reported that they are calling the wrong number - we'll see if it makes a difference.

Called me at work, was transferred to my direct line because they asked for me by name, male caller, India accent, left me this voicemail in a LOUD voice: W***E, S**T. No further message. I called the police and saved the recording. They told the main operator they were the Bay Area Collection Company. No idea what they were trying to collect.

i forgot to mention, neither of us has the same last name anymore. and Donna has not had my exs last name since 1995 or so, i have not had my exs last name for about 6 years now

here's a good one.....they are calling my number looking for...ready for this...my ex husband's first ex wife Donna. now there's a stretch. especially since she is now divorced from her third husband...lol

I have been receiving 3 or 4 phone calls every day for the past month or more from this number, but I never answer it.  Caller ID says TOLL FREE and the number.  I don't care who they are, I never answer any calls from an area code, location, number, organization, or person I don't know.  I owe no one for anything, so if they are a collection agency they have a wrong number, but I'm not going to answer and let them know that they have reached a working number.
