My brother received the same fraud thing. My mom was really happy for him, so I told her I was going to search the number on the internet... Then I found that forum.
They're still doing this in 2013 !
But I have to admit it looks real !

Hi,

I just opened my mail this afternoon and same as you all I have won a free trip. I used to work at a western Union outlet so I am seasoned on the whole " To good to be true thing" Just thought I would let you all know since I only saw 1 other post that was from 2013.

I call the provincial police and send the FRAUD tickets to Business Bureau agency. The stupid thing this FRAUD guy did was having a PO BOX address on his envelop so he's gonna be in for some interesting time.

I got this letter addressed to my dead grandmother of 10 YEARS, so I opened it, thought it looked pretty real, knowing full-well it was a scam. So we decided to call and mess with them... *RING* Guy: Hello. Me: Hi...? Guy: Oh, yes hi this is caribbean cruise lines... Okay, so you aren't at an actual place of business answering "hello"... I tell him I am my grandmother and say I'm excited to go on the cruise and want to go next week. This of course is out of the question, he paused a minute and told me it was 60 days to book it (clearly a lie). I asked how I won this and they got my information, which he made up that I did a survey and entered that way... How could my dead grandmother do a survey? He asked for my email, I told him I have no computer... Then later he asked for my phone number and I told him I don't have one and I am using a pay phone- haha! I had to think of something, I was on the phone with him. I was put on hold, which I could hear him talking to other people in the background about me... He wanted to get me "registered"... Then he put me on hold again and a woman came on the phone and told me I had to pay for port taxes and she needed my credit card... I told her I would pay cash when I go.. This was not an option for her and she asked again, to which, my reply was
Me: "no I don't'
Girl: "yes you do"
Me: "no I don't'
Girl: "yes you do"
Me: "no I don't'
Girl: "yes you do"
Me: "no I don't'
Girl: "yes you do"
Me: "no I don't'
Girl: "yes you do"
Me: "no I don't'
I couldn't stand it anymore and started laughing (yes it went on THAT long) and told them they are full of SH** and they gave me a good laugh... She hung up on me.
A few minutes later a recieve a call from 916.503.8707 asking for Reena, and I lied and said you have the right number but she's unavailable (I don't know any Reena's) and asked why they were calling, he said he's from cost u less insurance and someone called for a qoute from here... They're from California and I live on the Eastern side of Canada...
Don't be fooled... Or call and have some fun, just bock your number!

i got the same ticket and phoned the confirmation number and same as you, the guy started swearing at me when i did not present my credit card number.
i was tracing the number while talking to him and found the gps stating that according to google maps was coming from a convienent store in saudi arabia.
so with help from the local police in saudi arabia, there should hopefully be no more caribbean cruise fraudulent tickets sent out.

You've already done the right thing by contacting your credit card company immediately.  Follow thru with the cc fraud department and don't let your case just die.  If you have a major bank card, i.e. Amex, Chase, etc. they will usually do the dirty work for you and not make you be liable for the charges.  In the worst case, you can contact your state attorney and get some kind of "case id".  Call these caribbean cruise line folks and let them know you have contacted your state attorney, have a case id and threaten to take it as far as necessary if they do not refund your charges.
Just make sure you keep in contact with your cc company and state attorney's office if necessary.

I got the same package. I usually don't pay attention to these free offers knowing all of them are fake or fraud. This crribean cruise line ticket has really very good quality containing some known brands. So I called them and after 30-40 minutes talk they they asked for cc. I said actually the price was more than good so I couldn't rely on them. Then a second person came ahead and gave me Ramada hotel number. I checked the number on the google and then called them: 954-739-4000 they confirmed that caribean cruise is valid and they are dealing with them. I didn't know they were right or no I just couldn't believe that 7-8 days package for $450 can be a real thing and something must be wrong there. Then when I checked their website I realized it's a fake one: http://www.2011getaway.com ( it's a copy of this: http://www.thecaribbeancruiseline.com). Finally when I asked them to call them back later they hung up. Then when I searched for their phone number I found this forum.

I got the same  message congratulating me that I have won a free two night cruise. I spoke with  a person who called himself Kevin Dougherty for 30 minutes. I knew already that it was fake but I decided to play on with him waiting for the time he would ask for any information concerning my credit card. if this is real and I have won a free ticket, what is the need of a credit card? to cut the long story short, after passing to two different persons, I was asked  whether I have any credit card.

Thank you guys. I just got the mail, and I cant believe this is a really good deal although they make the ticket and all things perfectly... I still think how they know our information,  it is a scam obviously! I wont trust there is a free thing comes so easily. We need to reveal this kind of fraud. I will tell all people around me in case they meet the same situation. Thanks this forum again.

ok so i recieved the package in the mail yesterday and called in it looked good everything matched up! i then asked them if i could call back after i talked to my boyfriend about it and they said no i would lose the promotion, I'm 19 ive never been frauded before and was too blind to see it! they said that they would take my cc number to hold my reservation and i could call back! i gave the number not thinking that it was a scam. i called my boyfriend who yelled for a good 10 min and check my bank statement online and they had taking 224$ from the card! i called the company back saying that i no longer wanted the package and that were not getting the rest of the money! the man that was nice before was rude and said you can not cancel. i said that i had not booked and he said giving your cc number automatically booked me and charged me. i called the bank and they said all i could do is wait and calm the fraud in a few weeks if the package that they promised did not arrive. i need help please if you know how i can get out of this please tell me. like i said im 19 i wanted to surprise my boyfriend and i never would have thought that it was a scam! any advice on what to do? there is no email  address and they continually hang up on me!

When i dial this number the caribbean cruse line team anwers and wants to book me on their junket.99 bucks for the caribbean dock for landing fuel surchages gratuity charges leaving the states charges etc. A obvious scam since i have never signed up for caribbean cruise I wonder if they need a bussiness license to operate in canada? If we all called the number at the same time and kept these scamers bussy for a day or two I wonder how long it would take before they changed theyr number?????lol lmao

@Mommy...

Seriously??? Do you think they give away free cruises for doing nothing?? Have you even heard of "Caribbean Cruise Line"..a quick google search shows it's not legit. Sorry you're a low income family, but come on, free cruises don't just fall out of the sky.

Everyone else...why did you even call?? They can bill your phone outrageous amounts for just talking to them!!!

People are so easily scammed these days, sad.

Je viens tout juste de recevoir par courrier le billet pour la croisière. Il s'agit effectivement de fraude. S'il vous plait, ne tomber pas dans le panneau.

It's fraud. not give any credit card number. Too many good people are being robbed by them.
