THESE ARE THIRD WORLD NIGERIAN SCAM ARTISTS. I TOO PLACED A SUBSTANTIAL ORDER THE PREVIOUS EVENING SO DIDNT THINK ANYTHING ABOUT DEL CALLING TO VERIFY SOME INFO...BOY WAS I WRONG! I AM TERRIFIED I'VE BEEN SCAMED BY THESE MORONS BECAUSE I DID GIVE THEM MY INFORMATION THEN WAS DISCONNECTED AS SOON AS SCAM ARTIST GAVE ME A TOLL FREE NUMBER TO CALL "IN CASE WE GET DISCONNECTED" I WAS SUSPICIOUS OF THE 866 TOLL FREE NUMBER AS IT CONTAINED TOO MANY NUMERALS & SCAM ARTISTS gave nonEXISTENT # BEWARE!

Said we ordered a dell computer.  a scam

Just received a 2nd call from this number while I was driving.

The first time I chose not to answer because I wanted to see if they'd leave a message. However, when the second call came through, I answered and there was an automated message that stated that I had received a $200 credit from AT&T and that I should log onto a website that I didn't catch to claim my prize. Which led me to research the number to see what was really going on!

800-306-1586 left a message on my land line about how I need to help them cancel my Dell order.  I have never used Dell so I googled the number and found this thread.  I called my Visa card company and there was a charge on my card for $1849 to Dell!!!!!  Had to have the card cancelled.  If you get a call from this number call your credit card company and see what charges have been put on your card!  This is serious fraud.

I got two calls on my cell phone after 11pm and midnight from this number.  I blocked my caller ID and then I called back.  The recording said I had won two visa gift cards and to press a number to get to the shipping department. Impressed zero repeatedly and got a guy saying I had won a cruise from "Caribbean Cruise Line" and acted as if that was a real thing.  I said, " You mean 'Royal Caribbean??'" and he said no.....THE Caribbean Cruise line.  I told him that I wanted my number off their phone list and he said to call back in 15-20 minutes....that the main company line must be busy and to call back. I asked what company it was. He said that they work with Wells Fargo, Bank of America, Chase and other companies and when their lines are busy, they spill over to this call center.  I told him that made no sense.....any real bank or major company would not redirect their customers to a ridiculous call center.

My guess is that this is a scam of a company trying to get your credit card info by telling you that you've won visa gift cards, vacations, hotel stays, etc....that's what I experienced....or they're a bill/debt collector trying to get your name to collect a debt.  A woman named Barbara has been giving out my number and bill collectors call for her a few times a month. These cells were on my cell phone, which I rareiy give out.  This call gave me the creeps.  

It was Dell.  I hung up after being told some horribly invalid information regarding my order.
They were calling back.

Scam ?

Received a call 11:30am on our business line. The caller did not identify themselves and asked if we were "(My company name)" and asking to comfirm our address. When I questioned who was calling they hung up on me. Seemed suspicious. I'm putting this number on a spam/blocked caller list.

This company regularly calls our Day Spa.  We are busy serving customers and although we asked them not to call,  the annoyance continues.   I'd like to put an end to this once and forever.

I was recently approved for a $1500 Dell computer, but after the item was delivered to my home, I realized that I probably shouldn't use a bargain power bar, and tried to order a $50 power surge protector from Dell via Chat, and was told that I would have to do it by phone, and got a call from 1-800-306-1586 about 15 minutes later.

The girl was pleasant although a bit push, and asked a lot of personal questions, along with some odd questions like whether i was planning to export the power bar outside of Canada, which i found very strange.  She told me that the item would have to clear customs, and that she would send me an email summarizing the transaction.  

I never received an invoice, and when i called Dell, they have no idea who i spoke to, any record of any order ever being placed, nor the name or company that i dealt with.  I like Dell products, but their Customer Service being outsourced to Third World countries is a disgrace, especially when North Americans would gladly do such menial jobs for minimum wage, well I would anyways, and i have a B.A in Economics, so not being arrogant....be careful when ordering anything from Dell, and always get the name and number of the Agent.

I received a call from Ambergris Solutions yesterday inquiring about updating their records for our Ricoh printer in our office.  She asked for model/serial, etc.  The company that we receive our supplies from recently changed names and I thought that was who it was.  Today they called again and told me this story about how they forgot to inform us of an ink cost increase in July (from $349 to $399) and that they could get some mailed out to me at the lower cost today.  When I told her that our ink cost was included in our contract cost she promptly hung up.  SCAMMERS!!!! Thank God for caller ID.

Got a call from this number this morning. Caller claimed she was with Dell Computer. I was immediately on guard because someone got hold of my debit card number and tried to order a Dell Computer about a week ago. Thankfully, that fraudulent transaction and one other were caught before they hit my account. The only way I knew about the attempted transactions was because my bank put a hold on my debit card, it was declined in two places, so I called to report the problem. So this morning "Dell Computer" calls about the computer I supposedly ordered. Everyone beware, because I think whoever is using this 800 number is also attempting to hack into bank accounts. If you get a call from this number, I'd suggest you check your bank and credit card accounts for fraudulent charges.

just a got call from this number this morning (9am Singapore hrs).. Claimed to be head hunter from Telus International. Did the usual head hunter stuffs , ie. if was looking for job change, salary, IT background etc.. The lady said she will call back for the confirmed interview time with the IT Manager. we'll see how it goes.

Got this phone call from ClearlyContacts when they were trying to process my order. I was expecting this call (although from a different number) and so I know the individual calling me back was an actual representative of clearlycontacts. Looks like is just a conglomerate number for several companies, based on what others have said before.

Called my office and asked that I confirm the office address. I suspected this was a case of the" Free Listing at Yellow Pages" scam since they seemed to want me to answer yes. I hung up. They called back again and I didn't answer.

Received a call from this number regarding my order which had not been completed.  Wanted to know if I wanted to replace the order.  Turns out someone was using my credit card info (I have since closed the account) to order a Dell computer.  Found the woman very hard to understand, very unprofessional.  Glad I didn't call back after reading some of the other reports above.  She said she would call me back, but it's been almost a week and no call.  Hope it stays that way!!!   Would actually like to find out from her where the thieves trying to use my credit card wanted this computer to be shipped!!!

Yesterday I got a call,  ID- Ambergris Solutions, 800-306-1586- the speaker said it was from Telus Corp. He wanted to confirm that I had placed an order for a Dell computer. I had not. He said the order was placed from Florida, I live in Ohio. The other woman claiming to be me was on another line. I told him to trace her immediately. He ignored this and told me to call my bank. I asked to speak to his supervisor  and he hung up. How could he have had someone by my name on one line while he was calling me on another. It made no sense. He sounded like he was calling from India. It felt exceedingly questionable; I think he was fishing for information.

I called Magellan GPS support line, waited 20 minutes before hearing a human. I asked him a specific question about an older model of Magellan and he in his accented voice (overseas somewhere) said first he needed info from me. He asked my name number and email. I made up a name (sheila cain) spelled it for him, gave hime a false phone number and would not give him an email address. After asking if I was calling from the US or Canada, he said No the model I had did not  have access to what I wanted. I asked him why did he put me thru the entire Q and A when he knew the answer was no. Amid his stumbling response, I hung up. Immediately I got a call from this number. When I answered there was no response. I hung up only to have them call right back still with no one answering my hello.

Got a call this morning asking questions about our address and when we moved from previous address. I didn't tell them anything.  Businesses like this are what is putting our company in the mess it is - no integrity or honesty or character.

Caller ID give the number and "Toll Free Call". They hung up before they successfully navigated our IVR.

I got a call from this number at 6:42AM! I did not order or call Dell like others listed and they called on my personal cell phone. I didn't answer, I was sleeping.

Got a call from a guy asking Way Too many personal questions, I hung up.  They called me back 11 times in a row after I hung up.  Every time I answered, they hung up.  Very unprofessional.

This is Dell that called me to verifiy an order I had just placed.........very nice person at the other end of the line.
